Wolves have undone all their good work in the last 10 minutes. Since switching to a three-man backline, they have been camped inside their own area and are deservedly punished. Do they have another leveller in them?

Description
79'
M. Almirón has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by J. Willock.
GOAAAAL! NEWCASTLE ARE BACK IN FRONT! IT'S 2-1 AS ALMIRON STRIKES! Newcastle have been well on top since Wolves' leveller, with the visitors dropping too deep and inviting pressure. Almiron punishes them, taking Willock's pass in his stride and beating Sa on his left foot! St James' Park erupts!
Willock gets the assist, advancing to the edge of the box and slipping a neat pass into Almiron. Collins was playing the goalscorer onside, and Newcastle are back in front with 10 minutes remaining!
78'
Murphy eases past Semedo and sees a cross blocked by Collins. The referee rules the Newcastle man carried the ball over the byline, however, and Wolves get a goal-kick.
77'
Newcastle spent much of the first half bombarding Wolves' area with crosses. That must have been a factor in Lopetegui's decision to bring Collins on, though the hosts have not been able to reach the same levels of intensity since the break.
75'
N. Collins enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
Wolves make another switch. Collins comes on for Moutinho in their final substitution, which will mean a change of shape to 3-4-3 for Lopetegui's men.
73'
Newcastle are immediately back on the front foot and want a penalty for an apparent push from Jimenez. The referee waves those appeals away, and Wolves are forced to defend a corner, eventually clearing after a goalmouth scramble.
71'
What an impact Hwang has made following that swathe of substitutions! Wolves' second-half improvement is rewarded with an equaliser!
70'
Hwang Hee-Chan has scored a goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers!
GOAAAAAL! HWANG MAKES A RAPID IMPACT! 1-1! It's a calamity of errors at the back from Newcastle as Wolves level it up! The referee plays advantage for a pull on Matheus, who flicks the ball towards Hwang in the area. Trippier slides in and inadvertently takes the ball away from Pope, allowing Hwang to tap into an empty net just a minute after coming on!
69'
Hwang Hee-Chan enters the game and replaces Daniel Podence.
R. Aït-Nouri enters the game and replaces Jonny.
Wolves respond to Newcastle's double change with a triple switch. Matheus is on for captain Neves, who appeared to be struggling with a knock.

Wilson replaces Isak in the Newcastle attack.
Isak is booked for a late challenge. That will be his final involvement as Wilson prepares to come on.
67'
Trippier appears to make the referee aware of an issue in the crowd, which results in a brief stoppage in play. Schar sees a header deflect wide when the kick is finally taken, but a second corner comes to nothing.
66'
Newcastle appear to be readying a change as the hosts are gifted possession high up the pitch. Lemina concedes a corner, which Trippier will take.
64'
Neves shoots over! Neves gets into the box as Podence's cross is headed out to the midfielder. He attempts a volley, but he's leaning back and it's always rising. That was never likely to test Pope.
61'
Wolves win a corner as Semedo gets forward on the right. It's worked to Podence, who sees his cross punched clear by Pope. The visitors try again through Neto, but Burn blocks his cross well.
58'
Nélson Semedo gets yellow.
Semedo goes into the book after bringing Murphy down on the break. The Newcastle fans want a stronger punishment, but Wolves had other defenders covering, and the card is yellow.
56'
Wolves get a free-kick in a good position as Podence spins away from Guimaraes, who trips him. Neves and Moutinho stand over the ball on the edge of the D.
55'
Now Saint-Maximin and Isak combine, but the former can only fire straight at Sa from a very narrow angle on the left.
54'
Isak almost intercepts an ill-advised pass from Kilman towards Dawson, before winning the ball back and charging into the area. Semedo stops his advance on this occasion, but he has led the line so well.
52'
Pope is closed down by Jimenez again, and the Wolves man deflects his pass out of play, nearly cashing in. The Newcastle goalkeeper has looked shaky with the ball at his feet here, and is perhaps fortunate to still be on the pitch after that incident in the first half.
49'
Kilman is put under pressure by Isak inside his own area, and the Newcastle man blocks a pass behind for a goal kick before attempting to gee up the home crowd.
48'

Pedro Neto enters the game and replaces Adama Traoré.
Wolves make a change in attack at the break. Neto is on for Traore on the right. Will the Portuguese winger spark a fightback?

Two additional minutes have been signalled at the end of this half, as Wolves attempt to play their way out of Newcastle's press.

Daniel Podence gets yellow.
Podence trips Murphy and becomes the first player to be cautioned. Newcastle get another free-kick on the right, in a similar position to that which led to the opening goal.
43'
Jimenez gets his head to the corner, but he can only flick it all the way through the box and away to safety. Saint-Maximin then gets Newcastle on the front foot again, but Longstaff's pass is cut out by Dawson.
42'
Traore dances past Burn on the right and wins a corner at the byline. The Newcastle full-back has done well against the pacey Spaniard so far.
40'
Wolves have spent much of the last 15 minutes penned inside their own penalty area, but Podence was so close to levelling with a moment of magic there. As long as it remains 1-0, Wolves will carry a threat.
37'
Saint-Maximin wins another corner with some tricky footwork on the left. Trippier's delivery runs beyond everyone this time. Newcastle have really stepped things up in the last 10 minutes, however.
35'
The kick is cleared as far as Saint-Maximin, whose left-footed drive is diverted over for another set-piece. Newcastle are clearly on top.
34'
Isak sees a shot blocked behind for a corner as St James' Park applauds Newcastle's efforts. Wolves are struggling to match the hosts' intensity here.
32'
Wolves are living dangerously from these set-pieces! Another fine Trippier delivery causes panic at the far post with two Newcastle shirts present, but they can only divert it into Sa's gloves.
31'
Having endured a nervy spell around the time of Jimenez's penalty appeal, Newcastle are flying now. Dawson has to head clear near his own goal line, before Moutinho fells Guimaraes to give the hosts another right-wing free-kick.
29'
Chances at both ends! Comfortable save from Pope as Jimenez bends a 25-yard shot towards the top-right corner, only for the England international to get two strong hands to it. Isak then leads another Newcastle break, but Dawson blocks his powerful shot!
26'
A. Isak has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by K. Trippier.
GOAAAAL! ISAK PUTS NEWCASTLE AHEAD! 1-0! The Magpies have the breakthrough as Trippier whips a deep free-kick into the area from the right. Isak gets ahead of Neves to flick a header towards goal, and the ball nestles in the bottom-left corner!
Trippier gets the assist with a trademark set-piece delivery from the right. Isak gave his marker a slight nudge to get on the end of the cross, but there was no foul, and the header was put away brilliantly!
24'
Wolves are enjoying a better spell now as Moutinho tries to prod a pass through for Jimenez, but Botman is equal to it and makes the interception.
23'
Lopetegui is not happy on the sidelines as Neves requires a brief bout of treatment, resulting in a stoppage in play. Pope didn't make a huge movement towards Jimenez, but with the goal totally unguarded, the Mexican definitely took a hit from the goalkeeper's shoulder.
19'
Newcastle press Wolves all the way back and Jonny concedes possession cheaply. Burn drives into the area before losing his footing, but the Magpies have been very positive off the ball early on.
18'
Neves strides forward for Wolves and looks to lift the ball into the area, but none of his team-mates are on the same wavelength, and Pope is able to claim possession in comfortable fashion.
15'
Dawson nods the delivery away, and the second cross is flicked towards goal by Isak… but it's a weak attempt which runs straight through to Sa.
14'
Burn gets forward on the overlap to win a corner for Newcastle. It's been a decent start from the hosts, who are targeting the wide areas and putting plenty of crosses into the area.
13'
Kilman plays the ball out from the back in composed fashion under pressure from Murphy, but Jonny thumps the next pass out of play, much to the home fans' delight.
12'
Great defending from Burn! Neves finds Traore on the right, and the Spaniard attempts a clever ball into the path of Semedo. Burn stretches out a leg, however, and flicks the ball back off the Wolves man, winning a goal-kick.
10'
Trippier strikes it low and hard… but it's straight into the wall and the subsequent cross into the box deflects through to Sa.
9'
Newcastle win a free-kick in a great position as Guimaraes shapes to shoot inside the D, before switching the ball onto his left foot and going down under Moutinho's challenge. Trippier is standing over the ball…
7'
Newcastle advance down the right-hand side through Longstaff, and Semedo does well to head his cross behind for a corner. Saint-Maximin works it short to Trippier, but he untidily gifts Wolves possession before being penalised for a foul.
5'
Pope punches Moutinho's delivery away and Newcastle break, but Dawson slides in to prevent Isak latching onto a pass through the centre. Wolves then come again with Traore, but Trippier is on hand to head his cross away with Podence lurking.
4'
Wolves win a free-kick in a good position on the left flank, as Traore bursts away from three Newcastle men and is clipped by Trippier.
3'
Murphy stands up a cross from the right, forcing Sa to dive over Dawson to claim it. The Wolves goalkeeper almost spills the ball, but he holds it at the second attempt.
2'
Newcastle are looking to halt a run of three successive 2-0 defeats, having lost the EFL Cup final between reverses against Manchester City and Liverpool. They look to get Isak in behind, but Sa is on hand to claim it.

We're under way at St James' Park as Newcastle kick off!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Newcastle United's Premier League meeting with Wolves from St James' Park!
Wolves, meanwhile, put some daylight between themselves and their fellow relegation candidates by beating Spurs last time out. While they have made huge strides under Julen Lopetegui, a series of big results for their competitors on Saturday means they are still looking over their shoulders. Wolves begin the game three points clear of the drop zone after West Ham drew with Aston Villa, though they will go as high as 12th if they avoid defeat on Tyneside.
NEWCASTLE UNITED (4-3-3): Nick Pope; Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, Dan Burn; Joe Willock, Bruno Guimaraes, Sean Longstaff; Jacob Murphy, Alexander Isak, Allan Saint-Maximin.
NEWCASTLE UNITED SUBS: Martin Dubravka, Paul Dummett, Jamaal Lascelles, Callum Wilson, Matt Ritche, Matt Target, Javier Manquillo, Miguel Almiron, Elliot Anderson.
WOLVES (4-2-3-1): Jose Sa; Nelson Semedo, Craig Dawson, Max Kilman, Jonny; Mario Lemina, Ruben Neves; Adama Traore, Joao Moutinho, Daniel Podence; Raul Jimenez.
WOLVES SUBS: Daniel Bentley, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nathan Collins, Pedro Neto, Hwang Hee-chan, Matheus Cunha, Toti Gomes, Matheus Nunes, Joao Gomes.
Newcastle look to end a five-match winless run in the Premier League as they host Wolves, with their recent downturn putting hopes of a top-four finish in doubt. Eddie Howe's men start the game seven points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham with three games in hand, while a victory would see them leapfrog Liverpool and move into the top five.
Newcastle spent long periods of that half pinning Wolves back and bombarding their visitors with crosses. If Wolves are to recover and pick up a valuable result in their fight against the drop, they need to get on the front foot in the second half – Jimenez has looked isolated and Moutinho and Neves have been unable to pull the strings in the middle.
We hope you've enjoyed our live coverage of Newcastle's win over Wolves. It's goodbye from us, and we'll see you next time!
Newcastle's win takes them into the Premier League's top five, two points clear of Liverpool in sixth and four adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham! Howe's men have two games in hand on Spurs, and they remain in the fight for Champions League football! Wolves remain 13th, three points above the relegation zone ahead of huge fixtures against fellow strugglers Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.
