Mousset tries to play the ball into the middle, where King is among those waiting for a tap-in, but his cross hits Young and is captured by De Gea. Just 60 seconds left to play at Old Trafford.
90' +1
Four minutes have been added on at the end of a match that is petering to its conclusion. There is a truce of sorts as both teams are clearly happy to hear the full-time whistle.
89'
We are into the final minute of normal time at Old Trafford and there is no real sign of the scoreline changing. United are knocking the ball around in an attempt to eat up more seconds, while Bournemouth - as they have done pretty much all match - are struggling to create any openings when they turn over possession.
87'
SHOT! Not the worst attempt from Surman, who lets rip from 20 yards with a shot that was always traveling wide of De Gea's target. That came from a pretty weak De Gea clearance that was hit right at Cook.
86'
Good game management from the home side, who are taking no unnecessary risks as they see out the closing stages. Bournemouth also look as though they are happy to accept the full-time whistle.
84'
Pereira attempts to weave his way past a couple of Bournemouth players, but runs into a bit of a brick wall. United, despite being a man light, are dictating the tempo of the game.
82'
T. Mings enters the game and replaces N. Aké.
P. Jones enters the game and replaces A. Martial.
Howe's third and final change sees Mings take over from Ake at the back. The visitors have eight minutes to score three goals against their 10-man opponents.
Fellaini was being readied to come on for United, but the red card for Bailly instead means that centre-back Jones is on. Martial is the player sacrificed.
81'
United are down to 10 men for the closing stages, then, but their lead is surely insurmountable at this stage. A Bournemouth goal in the next few minutes would at least make things a little more interesting.
79'
E. Bailly goes off after a red card!
A blemish to what has otherwise been another good day for United under Solskjaer, as Bailly is shown a straight red for diving in on Fraser with both feet off the ground. A stupid challenge, leaving the referee with little choice.

Description
78'
That fourth United goal has taken all the confidence out of Bournemouth. The visitors always had hope at 3-1, but they struggled to really create anything and the contest has now been killed off for good thanks to Lukaku's strike.
76'
Andreas Pereira enters the game and replaces Ander Herrera.
Pereira is given another run-out under Solskjaer, coming on for the final 15 minutes or so in place of Herrera. United's supporters show their appreciation to the departing midfielder.
72'
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by P. Pogba.
Pogba has played like an £89m midfielder today, with this assist adding to his two goals. His lofted pass set Lukaku free, but the offside flag probably should have gone up against the substitute striker.
GOOOAAALLL!! MAN UNITED 4-1 BOURNEMOUTH! Lukaku marks his return to action with a goal just a couple of minutes after being introduced from the bench. The Belgium striker's eighth league goal against Bournemouth is a well taken one, hooking the ball past Begovic after getting on the end of Pogba's lofted through-ball.
70'
R. Lukaku enters the game and replaces M. Rashford.
Lukaku is brought on in place of Rashford, the scorer of United's third goal, for his first appearance under Solskjaer.
69'
Bailly produces a vital block to stop King from finding a way through on goal with his shot, before then catching Daniels on the neck with a high boot from the next attacking wave. Bournemouth are enjoying another spell on top now.
68'
Mousset goes to ground and the away fans want a penalty. There was no real contact from Matic inside the box, though, and the France forward did not exactly appeal for it.
66'
L. Mousset enters the game and replaces D. Brooks.
R. Fraser enters the game and replaces C. Wilson.
Fraser, who has four goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season, comes on for Wilson.
The second of Howe's changes also comes in attack, as Mousset takes over from Brooks.
64'
Credit to Howe's men - they are refusing to give up, having found a route back into the match right at the end of the first half. The visitors are not really getting on the ball high up the field, though, and United are dealing with the danger when it arrives.
63'
Pogba's cross-field pass for Rashford is overhit and goes straight out for a goal-kick. United have looked far less threatening over the past 10 minutes - time for Solskjaer to make a change or two?
61'
An hour has been played at Old Trafford and United, despite dropping their performance levels in the second half, are looking comfortable. Unless Bournemouth score a second, it will be a straightforward conclusion to the match for Solskjaer's men.
59'
Bournemouth are dominating possession in the opening 15 minutes of the second half, seeing close to 66 per cent of the ball. The visitors' wing-backs are playing a little higher, giving them a bit of an advantage in midfield.
55'
An awkward moment at the back for United, as Bailly inadvertently fires his attempted clearance into Shaw. The rebound could have crept into the back of the net on another day, but instead it is an easy one for De Gea to deal with.
53'
The noise around Old Trafford has gone up a few decibels over the past few minutes, with the home fans appreciating some of the football being played by their side. United look threatening whenever they get forward, having already netted three times today.
51'
Ander Herrera gets yellow.
Herrera tugs back on the shirt of Stanislas to halt the Bournemouth counter, seeing him join team-mate Young in earning a yellow card.
50'
Shaw slides in to regain possession and works the ball to Herrera, whose shot is blocked at the near post by Ake. Bournemouth are trying their best to play some good football, but they are not getting very far. United, by comparison, are a lot less hesitant when it comes to getting the ball forward.
48'
It has been a tentative start to the second half, with neither side able to keep the ball under control. A long throw is cleared as far as Stanislas, who cannot find the target with his shot.
46'
Bournemouth, just about in the game thanks to Ake's header two minutes into first-half stoppage time, get us back underway at Old Trafford!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: MAN UNITED 3-1 BOURNEMOUTH
45' +2
N. Aké has scored a goal for AFC Bournemouth! Assist by D. Brooks.
GOOOAAALLL!!! MAN UNITED 3-1 BOURNEMOUTH! For all of United's attacking strengths, they are simply unable to keep a clean sheet. Ake, who missed a good chance earlier in the half to draw his side level, guides a header past De Gea following some impressive work from Brooks. Game on?
Brooks initially does well to bring the ball under control, before then getting away from his man and putting the ball towards the near-post area for Ake to pull one back for Bournemouth.
45'
M. Rashford has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by A. Martial.
GOOOOAAALLL!! MAN UNITED 3-0 BOURNEMOUTH! Solskjaer's men have a third before half-time! Rashford, who created the first goal with a sublime assist, gets an outstretched leg on the end of Martial's flicked cross to surely seal all three points for the home side.
Martial has plenty of time to wait for some support after being played in down the right, and the France forward makes the most of it as he sends a deft delivery into the six-yard box for Rashford to meet.
43'
Still United push, not content with just the two first-half goals. What is it they say about attacking being the best form of defence?
42'
The visitors are holding on at the end of the first half. United are enjoying some sustained pressure in and around the Bournemouth box, but Begovic has not had a save to make since Pogba scored his second goal a little under 10 minutes ago.
40'
Martial very nearly wriggles his way through on goal, but Ake gets a toe to the ball. Rashford is next to cause some panic in the Bournemouth box, only for the hosts to shut him out before a shot arrives.
38'
SAVE! The corner falls nicely for King to strike, and strike it he does. De Gea makes a decent stop at his front post to keep out the United academy product and the home side are able to regroup.
36'
A. Young gets yellow.
No idea what Young is thinking here. The United captain lunges in on King, who was going nowhere, and is rightly shown the first yellow card of the match.
35'
Howe's men responded pretty well to falling a goal down, but all of a sudden they find themselves two down. Solskjaer will know that it is not quite game over just yet, though, with half of the match still to play.
33'
P. Pogba has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by Ander Herrera.
Herrera may not have been aiming for Pogba, but the quality of the ball meant that there was always a good chance a player in red would get on the end of it. Some more disappointing defending from Bournemouth, while Begovic perhaps could have been more commanding when coming off his line.
GOOOAAALLLL!!! MAN UNITED 2-0 BOURNEMOUTH! Pogba really is on fire, scoring his second goal of the game and his fourth in two matches. Herrera's cross is crying out to be attacked, and the France midfielder gets between Ake and Cook to power a header past Begovic.
31'
Martial waits a second or so before chipping the ball into the middle. Pogba makes a good run to meet the pass, but it has a little too much on it and the Frenchman cannot quite get a toe to it.
29'
Bournemouth have had the better of things since Poga's early breakthrough. Ake probably should have done better with that previous headed chance and Howe's men have also had a couple more nearly moments.
27'
SAVE! Bournemouth should be level! Ake, at fault for United's opener, rises highest to meet a cross from the right. The Dutchman heads the ball into the ground after outjumping his marker, but the ball bounces back up and hits De Gea before being Herrera scrambles clear.
26'
United are no longer as in control as they were in the early stages of the match. King is played into some space down the right following a shocking clearance from Lindelof, but his cross is cleared by Herrera before Stanislas can get a touch.
24'
Stanislas carries the ball a good 40 yards before dragging his shot well wide of the target. The midfielder had other options either side and should have made the most of them.
22'
Bournemouth are looking a lot brighter now compared to the opening 15 minutes. Ibe shifts the ball away from his man and sends a teasing cross towards the back post, which goes right the way through without a touch.
21'
Brooks shows some good footwork on the edge of the opposition box, but Lindelof comes out on top in that personal battle by getting a foot on the ball. Prior to that, Wilson was nearly played in down the right, as Bournemouth slowly start to grow into the match.
19'
United look a completely different side compared to a couple of weeks ago. The home side break forward at speed through Martial and key man Pogba, but the move fizzles out when Young's cross is cleared away.
15'
CLOSE! Very nearly a second goal for United following some more great link-up play between Pogba and Rashford. Pogba this time turns provider by cushioning a header into his team-mate's path, but Rashford's volley from 20 yards takes a touch off Ake and flies wide.
13'
Bournemouth finally show some signs of life as Shaw is forced to block the ball behind for a corner. The set-piece is cleared and United counter, but their move comes to an end when Begovic gets to Herrera's floated cross ahead of Pogba.
11'
King tells Wilson to be a little quicker with his pass in behind. It has been a frustrating start to the match for Bournemouth's talented attacking duo, who have barely had a sniff so far.
9'
Begovic shows good anticipation to race off his line and get to the ball ahead of Martial. The Bournemouth goalkeeper was then put under pressure and thumped the ball out of play - the United fans appreciate the workrate of their players under this new regime.
7'
A good start to the match for United, then, who now have nine goals in two-and-a-bit matches under Solskjaer. Keeping the opposition out has been a struggle for the hosts this term, however, so one goal is unlikely to be enough for them.
5'
P. Pogba has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by M. Rashford.
This is a truly sensational assist from Rashford, who has his confidence back under Solskjaer - just like the man who scored the goal. The England forward flicks the ball past Ake and then Rico before putting it on a plate for Pogba.
GOOOAAALLL!!! MAN UNITED 1-0 BOURNEMOUTH! Pogba picks up from where he left off against Huddersfield by edging the home side into an early lead. The France midfielder profits from some brilliant footwork from Rashford, who takes the ball past two men out wide before teeing up his team-mate for a simple sliding finish from three yards.
3'
The home side are being allowed to knock the ball around in the early stages of the match, with Bournemouth backing off. United win a free-kick which is aimed towards Matic, who is unable to turn it goalwards.

Man United get us underway in this final Premier League match of 2018!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Manchester United and Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
United have won back-to-back matches under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring eight times in seeing off Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town over the past eight days, and they can now move to within three points of fifth-place Arsenal with another victory today. Bournemouth, on the other hand, have lost seven of their last nine matches - including heavy defeats to Liverpool and Tottenham this month - to drift down to their current standing of 12th.
Man United subs: Andreas Pereira, Phil Jones, Juan Mata, Sergio Romero, Marouane Fellaini, Matteo Darmian, Romelu Lukaku
Bournemouth subs: Jefferson Lerma, Tyrone Mings, Jack Simpson, Ryan Fraser, Artur Boruc, Jermain Defoe, Lys Mousset
MAN UNITED XI (4-3-3): David de Gea; Ashley Young (c), Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial
BOURNEMOUTH XI (3-5-2): Asmir Begovic; Steve Cook, Nathan Ake, Charlie Daniels; Jordon Ibe, Junior Stanislas, David Brooks, Andrew Surman (c), Diego Rico; Callum Wilson, Joshua King
The two teams are now out on the field at Old Trafford and we are moments away from kick-off. United can move to within three points of fifth-place Arsenal with a third win on the bounce, while Bournemouth could potentially climb four places into eighth should they pick up their first victory at this ground.
Man United are on course for win number three from three under Solskjaer thanks to another scintillating half of football. The tone was set as early as the fifth minute when Pogba profited from Rashford's impressive wing play to open the scoring, before then heading his side two goals in front. Rashford added the third shortly before the interval with a close-range finish, but Bournemouth managed to pull one back a minute or so later through Ake.
Had Ake not found a way through at the very end of the first half, it may well have been a case of damage limitation for Howe's men in the second half. As it is, United still have some work to do if they are to get over the line and move to within three points of Arsenal in fifth.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
Solskjaer's side are now within three points of fifth-place Arsenal and have momentum on their side ahead of their trip to Newcastle United on Wednesday. Bournemouth, who have lost eight of their last 10, play host to Watford on the same day.
