Minute
Description
69'
A corner from the right now for West Ham which Anderson takes and it finds the head of Carroll. He is leaning back and can't keep his header down, it goes over the bar.
67'
West Ham win a corner on the left which is swung into the box. Burnley struggle to clear the ball and it eventually falls to Carroll on the edge of the area; he shifts it onto his favoured left foot and sends a shot at goal which is easily smothered by Heaton.
61'
D. Rice gets yellow.
Make that five yellow cards in the match. Rice bundles over Barnes with a clumsy challenge and goes into the book.
60'
Arnautovic finds Anderson on the left of the box. The winger takes a touch, sets himself, and shoots toward the bottom-right of Heaton’s goal. Mee gets a leg in the way and Burnley clear the ball away.
58'
The game is getting a bit feisty now! That was the fourth yellow card of the match.
57'
A. Carroll gets yellow.
A free-kick is sent into the Burnley area and Barnes and Carroll both go for the ball. The Burnley striker goes down in a heap and the referee decides Carroll caught him in the air, so shows him a yellow card.
53'
Burnley have had nine shots on goal, West Ham have managed just one.
48'
Barnes has the ball on the edge of the box and lays it off to McNeil on the left. McNeil shoots across goal, but Fabianski gets down well to save.

It's a double change at the break for West Ham with Snodgrass also off and he's replaced by Diangana.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: BURNLEY 2-0 WEST HAM UNITED.
45'
We're going to have two minutes of injury time.
44'
What a strike! Bardsley’s low ball from the right goes through the legs of Wood and Barnes hits it, first time, from 18 yards out. It skims the top of the cross bar.
38'
A. Barnes gets yellow.
Barnes slides in on Diop on the edge of the West Ham box. It is another late challenge and the referee once again shows a yellow card.
34'
D. McNeil has scored a goal for Burnley! Assist by A. Westwood.
Westwood has put in some lovely crosses in this game and this one was another decent one; it initially looked too strong but was, in fact, right on the money.
GOALLLL!!! 2-0 now! The ball is with Westwood on the right for Burnley; he crosses into the box and it looks like it has missed everyone, but McNeil is sliding in at the back post to fire a low shot at Fabianski. It somehow beats the keeper, who should do better, to nestle in the back of the net!
32'
Diop fouls Barnes just inside the West Ham half and the resulting free-kick is fired into the West Ham box. Wood has a swing at the bobbling ball, but the flag is up for offside.
30'
Taylor breaks down the left wing for Burnley. He carries the ball into the opposition half but is well tracked by Rice who takes the ball off him with ease and clears the danger.
29'
M. Noble gets yellow.
A horrible challenge from Noble, where he misses the ball and gets all of Westwood, earns him a booking.
26'
Another chance for Burnley. This time they break on the right and the ball is played across the edge of the area to McNeil. He strikes left-footed but it is blocked by the diving Diop.
24'
Snodgrass earns the first yellow card of the game for a horrible, late sliding tackle on Taylor.
23'
R. Snodgrass gets yellow.
Burnley’s tactics so far are easy to see – balls down the wing and early crosses into the box for Barnes and Wood. It is simple, but is working!
21'
The corner is a looping cross to the back post where Mee leaps highest. He can't keep his header down and it goes over the bar.
20'
Taylor on the left for Burnley finds himself high up field and cuts a ball inside to McNeil. He takes a touch then strikes with his left foot. The shot is blocked and Burnley have a corner.
17'
The crowd is even louder now!
15'
C. Wood has scored a goal for Burnley! Assist by A. Barnes.
Barnes did wonderfully to cushion his header into the path of his strike partner who made no mistake.
GOAL!!! Great work from Westwood and Cork on the halfway line for Burnley creates an opening for the former to send a ball into the box from the left. It finds the head of Barnes, who nods down to Wood and he fires past Fabianski to open the scoring. 1-0!
14'
West Ham are holding a fairly high line and Burnley have tried more than once to get in behind their defence with an early ball down the wing. It hasn’t worked yet, but it looks like a definite tactic from the home side.
12'
Not seen much of Arnautovic yet, who is starting his first game in four weeks for West Ham. He’s been very quiet so far, but you know he can spring to life in a flash.
10'
A corner for West Ham is taken from the right and lands on the head of Antonio. He does well, under pressure, to head the ball down and at goal, but it is straight into the arms of the grateful Heaton.
9'
Cork whips a delightful ball in from the right, bouncing across the West Ham area. It misses Wood but McNeil is behind him with clear header on goal. Fabianski punches away, but the assistant referee had his flag up for offside anyway.
7'
The Turf Moor crowd are very lively early on. They don’t sound like a set of fans who have seen their side lose nine of their last 11 Premier League games.
5'
Arnautovic gets the ball for West Ham on the left wing and lays off a pass to Anderson. He swings a high ball into the Burnley area, but it is over everyone’s heads and goes out for a goal-kick.
3'
CHANCE! Gundmundsson finds a pass to McNeil on the left for Burnley who sends a low ball into the box. It falls to the unmarked Barnes who connects with his left foot from nine yards out, but his shot is wide of the left post.
2'
Burnley have not only made five changes from the side that lost 5-1 to Everton on Boxing Day, they also have a new captain in Heaton and it looks like they have a different formation as well with Sean Dyche immediately setting his side up 4-4-2.

The referee blows his whistle and we are underway!
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the Premier League clash between Burnley and West Ham United.
This is Burnley’s second game at Turf Moor in four days, while West Ham have their second consecutive game on the road. The sides’ form couldn’t be more different going into the match with the Clarets losing their last three Premier League games and the Hammers winning five of their last six games.
West Ham’s superb run of late was kick-started in the reverse fixture back in November where they beat Burnley 4-2, in part thanks to a Felipe Anderson double. The winger scored a brace on Boxing Day as well, so is he in the mood for more goals today?
BURNLEY (4-4-2): Tom Heaton; Phil Bardsley, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee, Charlie Taylor; Ashley Westwood, Jack Cork, Dwight McNeil, Johann Gudmundsson; Ashley Barnes, Chris Wood.
Let’s take a look at how both sides line up, starting with the hosts.
SUBS: Joe Hart, Kevin Long, Jeff Hendrick, Matej Vydra, Sam Vokes, Ben Gibson, Ali Koiki.
SUBS: Adrian, Conor Coventry, Arthur Masuaku, Xande Silva, Andy Carroll, Pedro Obiang, Grady Diangana.
WEST HAM (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Michail Antonio, Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell; Declan Rice, Mark Noble; Robert Snodgrass, Felipe Anderson, Marko Arnautovic; Lucas Perez.
The two teams are out on the pitch at Turf Moor which means kick-off is just minutes away.
Burnley look well on course for what would be just their second win in 12 Premier League games, and are extremely good value for their lead at half-time. Wood opened the scoring on 15 minutes before McNeil doubled their advantage 10 minutes before the break – becoming Burnley’s first ever teenage goal scorer in the Premier League. In truth, Burnley could have scored more and there looks like there could be more goals in this one.
Burnley just need to keep doing what they are doing if they want to see this one out, namely pressing hard and sending quality balls into the West Ham box for Barnes and Wood. For West Ham, they really need to get their front four into the game; Snodgrass and Arnautovic particularly have been completely absent so far and need to start having an impact on the game if they want to come away with anything.
That is all for today, goodbye!
Burnley will go into 2019 18th in the Premier League table and will be eying another three points away at Huddersfield Town on Wednesday which could lift them out of the relegation zone. For West Ham, they will hope a return to the London Stadium will change their fortunes, they play Brighton and Hove Albion there on Wednesday.
