Those missed chances have come back to haunt Milan, they have allowed the victory to slip out of their grasp and Atalanta have once again fought back at the San Siro.

E. Rigoni has scored a goal for Atalanta!
ATALANTA ARE LEVEL! The visitors make it 2-2 late on! Rigoni capitalises on some sloppy defending, to fire the ball into the back of the net from just a couple of yards out. He was completely unmarked as the ball came to him, following Zapata's effort at goal which was saved by Donnarumma. The officials are checking the replay to make sure he was onside when the ball was played, but it looks like the goal will stand.
90'
There will be a minimum of five minutes of added time played.
89'
OFF THE LINE! Atalanta come so close to leveling the scoreline! Terrible defending by Milan, as a corner is whipped into the box. Milan make their final change, with Calhanoglu the man coming off the pitch and he has been replaced by Castillejo.
84'
It's all Atalanta at the moment, they are forcing Milan to sit deeper and deeper, much to the displeasure of the home supporters who are eager for their side to push up the pitch. There is still plenty of time left on the clock for them to get an equalising goal.
82'
CHANCE! de Roon with an effort at goal, which forces Donnarumma into making a good save. The ball fell nicely to the Atalanta midfielder after the hosts failed to deal with a corner.

78'
P. Gómez gets yellow.
Gomez is shown a yellow card after a late challenge on Musacchio, as he tried to cut out a Milan clearance.
Worry for Atalanta now as Gomez is down clutching his stomach after trying to block the Milan clearance. Atalanta have now used up all of their substitutes, so hopefully he'll be fine to continue.

Atalanta make their third and final substitution, with Gosens replaced by Ilicic.
74'

68'
CLOSE! Almost a hat-trick of assists for Suso as he plays a terrific ball into the box, looking for Calhanoglu who was making a run towards the far post. However, Calhanoglu gets too much on the ball and sends his effort narrowly wide of the post.
67'

Milan make their first substitution of the game, with Calabria replaced by Abate.
65'
G. Higuaín gets yellow.
Higuain is shown a yellow card for his challenge on Gollini. It appears to be harsh by the referee as the striker got to the ball first, but his foot was slightly raised as he went for the ball.
63'
Brief stoppage in play here as Higuain and Gollini are down in the penalty area after a collision. It appears to be a painful one for both players.
61'
G. Bonaventura has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by Suso.
That's two assists now for Suso today, the winger played a lovely ball towards the near post and Bonaventura made no mistakes with the finish.
GOOOAAALLL! Milan lead once again, Bonaventura with the goal to make it 2-1! Suso drils a low cross into the box, looking for Bonaventura at the near post, who just manages to get to the ball before his marker, flicking it past Gollini and this time the goal from the former Atalanta man does stand and it hands Milan the lead just after the hour mark.
60'
Gennaro Gattuso doesn't look very happy in the Milan technical area, his side need to pick up the pace and get back to playing their own game again. They've been second best throughout this half.
58'
You can really hear the Atalanta supporters now, they've been pretty quiet so far this afternoon but after that equalising goal, their spirits have certainly lifted.
56'
Milan had so many chances in the first half to double their lead, but couldn't get that goal and now Atalanta have come back to punish them for it. Much needed improvement needed by the hosts, they haven't been at their best so far in this half.
54'
P. Gómez has scored a goal for Atalanta! Assist by D. Zapata.
GOOOAALLL! Atalanta are level, it's 1-1! A great counter-attacking goal, the visitors break forward with pace and Zapata finds space in the box, then squares the ball to Gomez, who was unmarked in the area and he flicks the ball past Donnarumma and into the back of the net.
Zapata has been very lively since he came on at the break, having a chance himself just a few minutes ago. This time he turns provider, setting Gomez up from just a couple of yards out.
51'
D. Calabria gets yellow.
Calabria is the first player to be shown a yellow card, after he tripped Gosens.
50'
HUGE CHANCE! Zapata shows great strength and skill to turn on the edge of the box and he then just has Donnarumma to beat. However, the Atalanta man goes for power rather than accuracy and shoots straight at the Milan keeper, who makes a good save.
48'
There were plenty of positives for Atlanta to take out of the opening half, they just need to show more quality in the final third if they are going to level the scoreline. Gian Piero Gasperini will be hoping that his changes can make the difference.
46'
D. Zapata enters the game and replaces M. Barrow.
E. Rigoni enters the game and replaces M. Pašalić.
Atalanta have made two changes ahead of the second half, with Barrow replaced by Zapata.

ANOTHER MILAN CHANCE! Kessie with a superb opportunity to double Milan's lead late in the first half. The hosts break quickly and Higuain plays Kessie through on goal, with just Gollini to beat, however he fires the effort straight at the goalkeeper, who makes a strong stop.
41'
Not long left on the clock until the break now, can Milan extend their lead? Or, will Atalanta manage to level the scoreline before the whistle? At the moment it appears to be the hosts who look the more likely to score again.
39'
OFF THE POST! Bonaventura once again with the chance and this time he goes very close! Nobody picks him up in the box as the ball comes in from the right wing, he powers a low header towards goal but it strikes the post and then Kessie puts the rebound wide.
37'
Bonaventura goes close with a glancing header deep inside the Atalanta penalty area. It was a lovely whipped ball into the box, but the Milan man appears to get crowded out and he can only put his header wide of the goal.
35'
Milan perhaps need another goal here to make the game more comfortable, because Atlanta look dangerous themselves going forward and should really be level after Pasalic's chance a few moments ago.
33'
GREAT CHANCE! Huge opportunity for Atalanta to level the scoreline! Pasalic with a free header at the far post as the ball is headed towards him, he just had to head it straight into the back of the net from a couple of yards out. However, he doesn't get enough on the ball and it goes wide.
32'
Good effort! The ball falls nicely to Biglia on the edge of the area, he sprints onto the ball and fires a low effort at goal, but it's too close to Gollini, who makes a comfortable save.
30'
We're past the half an hour mark at the San Siro and it's Milan who lead 1-0, thanks to an early Higuain goal. It's been a pretty even game however, with Atalanta enjoying plenty of possession but they are struggling to do anything with it in the final third.
28'
Suso and Higuain are linking up well, with Suso whipping early balls into the box towards the striker, which at the moment Atalanta are failing to deal with. There have been a couple of occasions so far this afternoon that Higuain has almost punished them due to poor defending.
24'
Free-kick to Atalanta in a good position. It looks like Gomez is going to take it... It's lofted into the box towards Barrow, but the striker mistimes his jump and the ball goes straight out of play.
22'
We had a lot of confusion in the San Siro a few moments ago with the goal decision, as Bonaventura didn't celebrate because he used to play for the visitors. The goal stood, but a few minutes later we had the decision overturned.
20'
GOAL RULED OUT! The goal is initially awarded after Bonaventura powered a header into the back of the net, following a deep cross into the box by Calabria. However, after consulting with VAR, the referee awards Atalanta a free-kick for offside. It was very close!
17'
Milan look much more threatening today then they did in their previous league game against Cagliari, the early goal appears to have settled any nerves.
15'
MILAN CHANCE! Higuain goes close to doubling his sides lead! The striker was through on goal after a lovely move on the edge of the box, he fires an effort towards goal from close range, but Palomino gets back and makes a superb block to deny him.
14'
This is better from Milan, they've managed to win the ball back and are stringing a few passes together, after having to chase the ball for the last 10 minutes or so. However, much of their play is in the middle of the pitch as Atalanta are doing a good job of pressing them high up the field.
10'
The visitors are dominating possession at the moment, they look full of confidence but are struggling to create anything in the final third. However, they are forcing Milan to sit deep and soak up the pressure.
8'
Good response by Atalanta to going behind so early in the game. They are trying to match the tempo of Milan and in the last couple of minutes they've kept the hosts in their own half, after some good passing moves in the middle of the pitch.
6'
Atalanta have a free-kick in a decent position, after Castagne was fouled by Bonaventura deep down the right wing. Gomez whips it into the area but it is well dealt with by Milan.
4'
There is already a good tempo to the game, with Milan starting much better then they did in their previous Serie A game against Cagliari. They look eager to go forward and get a couple of early goals.
2'
G. Higuaín has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by Suso.
Milan got into a good position within the Atalanta final third and Suso was given far too much time and space on the edge of the box, allowing him to pick out Higuain in the area.
GOOOAALLL! Milan lead 1-0! A great start for the hosts, in their first attack of the game and it's Higuain with the goal. Suso whips a cross into the box and the Milan striker gets away from his marker, turns and fires the ball into the bottom corner. A superb finish.
1'
We're underway!
Decent chance early on! Atalanta get the game underway and immediately go on the attack, with Gomez trying his luck from long range. However, his effort goes well wide of the Milan goal and doesn't cause Donnarumma any problems.
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Serie A clash between AC Milan and Atalanta.
Milan have been far from convincing in their opening couple of games, but they managed beat Dudelange 1-0 on Thursday in the Europa League, despite being far from their best and it took a second half goal from Gonzalo Higuain to clinch the victory.
However, they still bagged their second win in three games, after beating Roma and holding Cagliari to a draw in Serie A last weekend. The hosts rested a couple of players in midweek for their Europa League clash in order to make sure they are fresh for today's game.
Atalanta travel to Milan on the back of a three-match losing streak, hoping that their fortunes will change this afternoon. La Dea have struggled to score goals so far this season and suffered narrow defeats to Cagliari and SPAL.
MILAN SUBS: Fabio Borini, Jose Mauri, Cristian Zapata, Diego Laxalt, Jose Reina, Antonio Donnarumma, Frank Tsadjout, Samu Castillejo, Andrea Bertolacci, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Stefan Simic, Ignazio Abate
ATALANTA SUBS: Ali Adnan, Emiliano Rigoni, Francesco Rossi, Matteo Pessina, Duvan Zapata, Etrit Berisha, Josip Ilicic, Gianluca Mancini, Berat Djimsti, Hans Hateboer, Marco Tumminello, Luca Valzania
ATALANTA (3-4-1-2): Pierluigi Gollini (GK); Rafael Toloi, Jose Luis Palomino, Andrea Masiello; Timothy Castagne, Martern De Roon, Remo Freuler, Robin Gosens; Mario Pasalic; Alejandro Gomez (c), Musa Barrow
The teams are out at the San Siro and kick-off is almost us! Stay tuned for all of the match action.
Atalanta have played well, enjoying a lot of possession and they've forced Milan to sit deep and soak up the pressure, but they are struggling to create anything in the danger zone. Pasalic went the closest for the visitors, he should've scored when he had a free header from just a couple of yards out, but he put it wide of the post.
Milan should be leading by more than just the one goal here, after numerous chances throughout the first half. They took the lead in the second minute after a lovely strike by Higuain, who has an excellent goalscoring record against Atalanta. Bonaventura hit the post with a header, whilst Kessie was denied by a good save by Gollini, to keep the score at 1-0.
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Atalanta come from behind twice to clinch a point at the San Siro, but Milan should've wrapped up the victory as they had so many chances. Milan led 1-0 at the break, but Gomez scored early in the second half for the visitors to make it 1-1. That scoreline didn't last long though, as soon after Bonaventura put the ball in the back of the net to make it 2-1 to the hosts. However, Atalanta kept pushing forward and created a few opportunities late on, with Rigoni the man who was in the right place, at the right time, to make it 2-2 in added time.
The two sides are now level on points in the Serie A table, sitting 12th and 13th, but Milan do have a game in hand. Milan face Empoli on Thursday, where they will hope to get back to winning ways, whilst Atalanta will face Torino at home.
