THREE minutes added on at the end of the game. Manchester United can start to look ahead to the semi-final draw.
89'
M. Fellaini enters the game and replaces J. Lingard.
The classic Mourinho sub, as Lingard is replaced by Fellaini for the final moments.
88'
Break in play as Young receives treatment after falling awkwardly, which is a concern for Manchester United. Fortunately he looks able to continue.
87'
Brighton certainly don't deserve this. They've done very well today but two superb crosses have proven to be their undoing. Hughton's side can hold their heads high but the dream of only the second FA Cup semi-final appearance in their history is dying.
85'
STAT! Nemanja Matic has both scored and assisted in a game for the first time since August 2014 for Chelsea against Everton.
83'
N. Matić has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by A. Young.
You get the feeling that Brughton will have at least one more big chance before the final whistle. At the other end, United are still yet to register a shot in the second half.
Superb delivery from Young. If Matic wasn't there, then United had a number of other players who could have tucked home.
GOAL! That's the game! Young clips a free-kick over the Brighton defence and Matic heads home. Manchester United have put their name in the hat for the FA Cup semi-finals.
81'
Time is running out for Brighton and they know it. There's more and more blue shirts pushing forward, which may leave space for Manchester United to exploit on the counter.
79'
Martial reacts badly after a tackle with Kayal, which sees the two square up. The worst bit for United is that's the most attacking intent their Frenchman has shown in the entire match.
78'
I mentioned before kick-off that Manchester United would want to exercise their demons today. Well, they better call the Ghostbusters over the international break as they're still hovering around.
76'
G. Murray enters the game and replaces L. Ulloa.
STAT: Manchester United are yet to have a shot in the second half. That says it all really.
Here's the change we all expected, as Ulloa makes way for Murray.
Minute
Description
75'
M. Rashford enters the game and replaces Mata.
An attacking change for Manchester United, as Mata makes way and is replaced by Rashford.
73'
Discontent can be heard from the home supporters, as their side have certainly not given the sort of response and style of play that the fans would have wanted to see. They have the advantage at the moment though and can start thinking about their date at Wembley.
71'
CHANCE! Locadia once again causing the Manchester United defence problems, as he beats Bailly with ease but sees his attempt at goal blocked by Smalling.
70'
Izquierdo immediately involved, popping up in the middle to spark an attacking move and then drifting out wide to cause further problems, but Manchester United hold firm once again.
68'
J. Izquierdo enters the game and replaces S. March.
First change of the game for Brighton is a positive one, bringing on Izquierdo for the impressive Solly March.
67'
CHANCE! Superb work from Solly March down the right! He beats Young with ease and whips a dangerous cross to the far post where Locadia is lurking but he heads over the bar.
65'
Locadia is causing the Manchester United defence all sorts of problems, though Smalling and Bailly are hardly covering themselves in the best of light. Brighton's record man almost had a break there but Valencia was across swiftly to quell the danger.
63'
Over an hour gone at Old Trafford and the tie is by no means over. Manchester United have the lead but continue to look shaky, though Brighton seem to lack the cutting edge in the final third.
61'
Nervy moment for Krul, who charged off his line and then conceded possession with a kick upfield, but Brighton win the ball back. On the sidelines, Glenn Murray is warming up- which could take a while in this weather!
59'
Manchester United certainly aren't home and dry just yet, with Brighton enjoying a decent period in the game. The hosts are not comfortable and there's still a lot of concerns regarding the way they're playing.
57'
SAVE! Superb from Brighton and from Romero! Valencia's header away is poor and drops kindly to Locadia, who turns and smashes an effort towards the top corner but is thwarted by Manchester United's Argentine stopper.
55'
The game has certainly opened up a lot more since the restart, which is allowing Manchester United to threaten. There is space emerging in wide areas but Brighton remain firm through the middle.
53'
Gross again tries a shot from distanece, which is blocked, before Locadia smashes a low attempt towards goal that Romero clutches onto. Better from the visitors.
51'
CHANCE! Brighton have been penned in since the restart but break there, with the ball finding Gross on the edge of the area. He slices a driven shot towards goal with the outside of his boot but it's just wide of the mark.
49'
It seems the United change was tactical, which is quite bizarre. Shaw hardly had a bad game in the first half and the Red Devils weren't screaming out for change down the left.
47'
Not clear yet whether that substitution was tactical or forced through an injury but either way it's a blow for Shaw. He clearly needs to do more to win over Mourinho.
46'
A. Young enters the game and replaces L. Shaw.
Change at the break for United, with Ashley Young introduced to replace Shaw.
45' +1
ONE minute of added time at the end of the first half.
45'
KICK-OFF! Brighton get us back underway at Old Trafford, with the Seagulls now attacking to the right.
44'
Brighton have continued in a decent fashion since conceding and have a strong platform to build upon after the break. There's still a route back into the game but they'll need to remain composed at the back.
42'
A real kick in the teeth for Brighton, who have defended resiliently but have been cut apart by a bit of class from the hosts. They're still in the game but need to find a response.
40'
STAT! Lukaku maintains a remarkable record in the FA Cup as he's now scored 11 goals in his last 12 matches in the competition. The one game in that run where he didn't score was whilst he was at Everton, where he missed a penalty against Manchester United in the 2016 semi-final.
39'
First blood United then and it has lifted Old Trafford. There's still a lot of work to do, especially with Brighton finding space and looking threatening in the wide areas, but it should open the game up more.
37'
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by N. Matić.
Shaw did well to push the Brighton defence back and then cut the ball to Matic, who's delivery was sublime.
GOAL! Manchester United find the breakthrough! Matic whips a fine cross into the middle where Lukaku has got away from his marker and can comfortably head home. A huge moment in the game and a massive relief for the hosts.
36'
Martial again appearing in pockets of space but the Brighton defence is standing very firm. Mourinho isn't happy with his side and is making his feelings known. In the past five minutes, the visitors have had the lion's share of possession.
34'
A flash of chances then and both sides could have taken the lead. Romero's save was a simple one in fairness, as Dunk's header was fairly central, but the chance for Smalling at the other end was a golden opportunity.
32'
SAVE! Locadia bursts down the left and wins Brighton a corner, which is whipped into a dangerous area. Dunk rises without any challenge from a Manchester United defender and sees his header palmed away by Romero.
30'
OFF THE POST! From the following corner, the ball drops kindly to Smalling and he smashes a shot at goal that Krul touches onto the post. It should have been a corner but Manchester United don't get the decision.
CHANCE! Much better from Manchester United! Mata and Martial combine on a number of occasions, with the Spaniard then smashing a shot at goal that is deflected behind for a corner.
29'
Edging towards the half hour mark of a game that has been short of chances and excitement. Brighton have defended resiliently, whilst Manchester United have lacked the cutting edge yet again.
27'
Barely any noise coming from the Old Trafford, who are being drowned out by Brighton's strong travelling support. To be fair, Manchester United haven't given the fans too much to get excited about.
25'
Brighton starting to threaten, as Ulloa knocks a header back to Locadia but he can't get the ball under control to shoot. In then comes to March out wide, who drives a low cross into the middle that Bailly deflects behind for a corner which comes to nothing.
23'
CHANCE! Valencia curls a delightful ball into the box where Martial is lurking but the Frenchman can't control the ball when the goal was at his mercy, allowing the Brighton defence to get the ball away.
21'
Massive mistake from Propper, who overhits his pass back to Krul and concedes a corner. Manchester United take time to put the ball into the middle, with Ulloa eventually clearing Mata's dangerous delivery away.
19'
Brighton's high press is starting to frustrate Manchester United, as it's leaving the Red Devils stuck in the middle third of the field. With McTominay and Matic in midfield, Mourinho's men lack creativity through the middle and it's showing at the moment.
17'
Schelotto causes Martial a problem inside the box but the Frenchman stands firm, being careful not to concede a penalty, and a dangerous cross then fizzes across the face of Romero's goal.
15'
Brighton calm and controlled in possession, patiently trying to find an avenue to cause Manchester United problems. Hughton is urging his side to ping passes around and they're impressing in that aspect.
13'
More of the same for United, who have numbers out wide but can't find space through the middle. The likes of Lingard and Martial are dropping deeper at times to get the ball but that's just contributing to the fact that Lukaku is all on his own in the final third.
11'
75% possession for Manchester United in the opening minutes, though it doesn't matter as they've done nothing with the ball so far.
10'
If you were hoping from an immediate response from Manchester United today, you'll be disappointed. The Red Devils have been fairly lacklustre so far and Lukaku is looking isolated in attack. It's still quite early on in the game though to be fair.
8'
Solid start from Brighton, who impressed in their Premier League trip to Old Trafford but lost 1-0 following a Lewis Dunk own goal. Hughton will be happy with what he's seen from his side so far.
6'
Mourinho's men knocking the ball around in the opening few minutes but not doing too much with it, which will certainly frustrate the home fans if it continues this way. Brighton have impressed and look up for it.
4'
United win the game's first corner after Martial cuts onto his left foot and sees an effort blocked behind, which allows Mata to deliver. However, it's headed away and Brighton deal with the pressure.
3'
It's a very scrappy start from Manchester United, which has encouraged Brighton to put them under intense pressure. The weather could certainly play a part tonight, with blizzards expected on and off throughout.
1'
KICK OFF! We're underway at a very snowy Old Trafford, where Manchester United get us started and attack to the right in the first half.
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the FA Cup quarter-final tie between Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford, where the hosts will be looking to bounce back after a difficult week.
A week is a long time in football and Manchester United have been taught that lesson this week, as a superb win against Liverpool last weekend was followed by a woeful performance against Sevilla in midweek- which cost Jose Mourinho's side their place in the Champions League. The FA Cup now stands as the only silverware available for the Red Devils this season.
Brighton, meanwhile, have caught the eye in the Premier League this season and will hope to retain their top-flight status in the weeks to come. Their mind is solely focused on the FA Cup this weekend though, as Brighton feature in the quarter-finals for the first time in 30 years- and for only the third time in their history.
Mourinho has faced plenty of criticism this week in the wake of Manchester United's Champions League exit and he'll be looking for his side to exercise their demons at Old Trafford today. The Portuguese boss will be confident though, as he's won 14 of his 16 home matches in the FA Cup as a manager.
The team news for this evening's game is in and there's certainly plenty to talk about.
Brighton, who have beaten Manchester United just once in 17 meetings, know the odds are firmly stacked against them. Chris Hughton has visited Old Trafford four times as a manager, losing all four and yet to see a side of his score. Fans will be hoping of revenge though, after the Seagulls lost the 1983 FA Cup final to the Red Devils.
Manchester United XI: Sergio Romero; Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic; Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial; Romelu Lukaku.
Brighton XI: Tim Krul; Ezequiel Schelotto, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk, Markus Suttner; Beram Kayal, Davy Propper, Pascal Gross; Jurgen Locadia, Leonardo Ulloa, Solly March.
Man United subs: David De Gea, Marcus Rashford, Victor Lindelof, Ashley Young, Alexis Sanchez, Maroaune Fellaini, Paul Pogba.
Brighton subs: Niki Maenpaa, Connor Goldson, Bruno, Jose Izquierdo, Sam Baldock, Glenn Murray, Max Sanders.
Mourinho makes five changes to his side and leaves out a number of his heavy hitters, with Alexis, Pogba and De Gea on the bench, along with Young and Fellaini. Romero, Shaw, Martial, McTominay and Mata take their spots within the side, showing the depth in quality that the Red Devils possess.
Brighton also make a host of changes, with Hughton making five in all. Krul, Suttner, Locadia, Ulloa and March all come into the line-up, with some big shoes to fill. Murray is on the bench along with Izquierdo, whilst Anthony Knockaert is suspended. Mat Ryan and Gaetan Bong are not selected in the squad.
Questionable selections from both managers then, as Alexis and Murray are both potential match winners for their teams. I'd be surprised if we didn't see them play a part later on in the game.
HALF TIME! Manchester United have the lead through Romelu Lukaku but they haven't been firing on all cylinders. Brighton have played well and can find themselves somewhat unfortunate to be behind, as they've defended resiliently. It's still all to play for in the second half though.
You could feel the tension lift at Old Trafford when Lukaku headed home but in truth Manchester United have been poor. A lack of creativity has been present from Mourinho's side, whilst they've looked vulnerable defensively in the wide areas. It's hardly the sort of response fans would have wanted to see following the defeat to Sevilla.
Brighton have proven to be frustrating opponents, keeping United quiet for the majority of the match, but a touch of class from Matic and Lukaku has broken them down. They'll need to find a response but can take encouragement from their performance, where the likes of Locadia and March have been dangerous out wide.
FULL TIME! Not the best performance from Manchester United but Jose Mourinho's side have returned to winning ways. Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic's headers either side of the interval have put the 2016 FA Cup winners into the hat for the semi-final draw, whilst Brighton can hold their heads high after a valiant performance.
Mourinho's men march on and, quite remarkably, they're still yet to concede in the FA Cup this season. It wasn't a great performance and the inquest will still remain concerning the Red Devils but they've eased the pressure ahead of the international break. They now await tomorrow's semi-final draw.
Brighton can hold their heads high as they made things difficult for the Red Devils today but they lacked the quality in the final third. Their battle is now solely focused on Premier League survival, where the Seagulls require just a few more points to secure their top-flight status for another season.
