N'jie hasn't given up on this match just yet! He launches forward on a throw in, but slips just as he catches up to the ball.
90'
Play is grinding to a halt with both sides seemingly comfortable with the score line. It's worth noting that Athletic's goal was of the away variety. A 2-0 win in Spain would see them through.
88'
Can Athletic repeat their last minute heroics for a second consecutive half? They'll need to if they want to make their job at the San Mamas any easier.
86'
B. Sarr enters the game and replaces M. Lopez.

Yellow card Maxime Lopez
76'
It's ten men behind the ball for the Spanish side. That's surely not the way to get two goals back.

Anguissa shows that aforementioned strength by holding off two Athletic players before passing the ball calmly back to safety.
72'
Germain will be disappointed to leave the pitch with no goals to his name having had at least three solid chances to score.

Anguissa is coming on for Germain. The former is an imposing presence in midfield and sits top 10 in tackles won in Ligue 1 this season.

Payet sat on the ball in the Athletic box for quite sometime before laying the ball off for Lopez who shoots hard and low, but Herrerin is able to get down and cover.
69'
Lekue enters the game and replaces Balenziaga.
Interesting straight swap from manager Jose Angel Ziganda who swaps Balenziga off for for the younger Lekue.
66'
N'jie gets played in behind off a beautiful ball, is nipped from behind, gets back up, cuts onto his left, and shoots a tame shot at Herrerin who parries. Germain ran onto the rebound but was called offside.
65'
Stop me if you've heard this one before... but Williams gets the ball on the right wing. He tries to beat two men but is not quite up to the task.
64'
N'jie goes on an elaborate run through the centre of Athletic's midfield, but the ball is taken off him after one too many skills.

Iñigo Córdoba enters the game and replaces Susaeta.
Thauvin seems to have been heavily injured in the process and is being carted off.

57'
L. Ocampos has scored a goal for Marseille! Assist by D. Payet.
Payet was the architect of a lovely one-two on the right wing, whipped in a low cross to Ocampos who finished the move off.
It seems they didn't need Thauvin to score after all! Ocampos cut left to right to meet the ball. He shot low and to his left, it hits Herrerin's hands and the post... but neither are enough to keep the ball out! GOAL MARSEILLE!!!
56'
San José gets yellow.
Bilbao launch a rapid counter attack trhough Inaki Williams who tries to cross the ball into Susaeta, but he misses his man.

Low tempo stuff from Marseille who are passing the ball around the back.
50'

38'
V. Germain gets yellow.
Yellow card Valère Germain
37'
Curse of the commentator there! Williams drives forward centrally before laying the ball off to Aduriz on his left. The Spaniard launches his shot both high and wide of Mandanda's net.
34'
Aduriz has been starved for service thus far. Athletic Bilbao very much disconnected and on the back foot.
31'
The Spaniards try to get back to what they do best by getting the ball forward to Williams out wide. He tries to dribble infield, but is dispossesed in the process.
28'
Thauvin is down with an injury but looks as though he will be able to continue.
27'
Bilbao may want to start shooting from range if they want to get back into this match. Marseille have conceded more goals from outside the box (12) than any other French side this season.
24'
If Thauvin does find the back of the net it will be of little surpirse as he comes into this match in blistering form, having scored six goals in his last five matches.
23'
Everything is happening out wide at the moment. Thauvin crashes down Marseille's right wing, shoots, but it soars over Herrerin's goal.
21'

13'
Raúl García gets yellow.
Yellow card Raúl García Escudero
11'
It's been all Bilbao ever since the early goal. Bypassing the Marseille defence by playing down the wings as expected. You have to think one of these crosses will turn into a goal sooner rather than later.
8'
Susaeta bombs down the left wing and cuts into the box. He goes down... but the referee deems it neither a penalty nor a dive.
7'
Looks like I'll be typing Williams' name a lot tonight. This time he drives into the box himself, loses and recollects the ball, crosses the ball in but it's easily caught by Mandanda.
6'
Inaki Williams seems the early danger man for Bilbao! He slips through the midfield and plays Aduriz in behind the defence, but his cross/shot is parried behind for a corner.
5'
Seemingly well as they drive through midfield, send a long ball to Inaki Williams on their right wing and he crosses it in... to no one. Cleared by Marseille.
3'
Now, how will Athletic Bilbao respond to being knocked to the mat so early?
1'
L. Ocampos has scored a goal for Marseille! Assist by F. Thauvin.
After a touching minute was taken for the departed Davide Astori, we're off at the stadium formerly known as the Stade Velodrome!
OH MY GOODNESS!!! OCAMPOS! MARSEILLE HAVE SCORED IN THE FIRST MINUTE!
Thauvin drifted into the box from the right and whipped in a short cross to the Argentinian Ocampos
Hello, and welcome to our live coverage of the Europa League match between Olympique de Marseille v Athletic Club de Bilbao!
We should be set for a very interesting match tonight! Marseille will look to move through the middle, having created over 100 more chances in league play than Athletic Bilbao. The Spaniards, on the other hand, will likely create more from wide areas considering they lead all Europa League teams in crosses with 242 (19.12 per match).
Athletic Bilbao (4-2-3-1): Iago Herrerín; De Marcos, Yeray, X.Etxeita, Balenziaga; San Jose, Benat; Williams, Raul Garcia, Susaeta; Aduriz.
Athletic Bilbao have been a bit Jekyll and a bit Hyde this season when it comes to goal scoring. In La Liga they struggle to find the net, averaging less than a goal scored per game. However, if you put a Europa league badge on their sleeve, the finishing boots seem to come out seeing as they are fourth best in the competiton with 20 goals.
Marseille seem to have the opposite problem. They currently sit top five in Ligue 1 in goals scored, yet sit 20th in the Europa League.
The teams are walking out of the tunnel! Are you ready for this one?!
There is not much history between these two sides, but Bilbao may feel confident having beaten Marseille over two legs in this very competition in 2016.
Be sure to keep an eye on the ageless Aduriz tonight! The 37 year old has found the back of the net more than any other Europa League player having scored seven times in this campaign.
What a finish to the half that was! Marseille fans will be incensed that the referee, Jorge Sousa, reversed the original call.
Upon further review, it looks as though Rami had his hand tight to his body and the ball seemingly hit him just below it. Very harsh call from the referee.
Nothing can be done about it now though! The teams are in the dressing rooms and Marseille still lead 2-1.
Marseille will likely need Thauvin to find his shooting boots tonight if they are to restore their two goal lead. The Frenchman leads the team in Ligue 1 goals this season with 16.
And the whistle goes for full time.
Marseille will likely still feel aggrieved by the penalty call, but will surely be pleased to have won this leg 3-1. Payet was brilliant tonight and Ocampos and the substitute N'jie looked lethal on the counter.
The main concern for the French side will be the injury to their leading scorer Florian Thauvin.
Athletic Bilbao started this match about a minute too late but fought hard to earn a place in this match. They were largely only dangerous through Williams and Adruiz was largely uninvolved penalty goal aside. They were content to leave the Stade Velodrome with their away goal, but if they fail to win in Spain questions will surely be asked.
That's it for our coverage of this match! We hope you'll join us again for more live coverage in the future.
