PSG meanwhile got back to winning ways at the weekend after losing their first matches of the season, first at Strasbourg in the league, then at Bayern Munich in the Champions League. A 3-1 win over Lille at Parc des Princes looks to have got Unai Emery’s team back on track.
The chances of Rennes qualifying for European competition are slim come the end of the season, but so far they certainly look on course to record another top half finish in Ligue 1.
PSG have already broken the 50 goals barrier, with the league leaders well on course to reach at least 100 goals in the league for the season. With a front three of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar all enjoying fantastic campaigns so far, the team will be expecting to go for the treble of league, French Cup and the Champions League, after a disapponting campaign last year.
