Description
80'
10 minutes to go here and despite some attacking changes Lille have yet to offer any real threat in the final third. It is hard to see anything beyond a PSG win at this point and it will have been a very comfortable victory if things continue like this.
78'
Y. Benzia gets yellow.
Lille finally get their first shot on target! Substitute Araujo comes in off the right wing to curl a low effort towards goal. It is too close to Areola though, who stoops to claim the ball comfortably.

77'
A chance looks on for PSG as another Lille mistake sees four PSG players charging inside the Lille box. Mbappe miscontrols though and it rolls harmlessly away for a defender to clear.

70'

61'
Pastore looks clean through on goal but Soumaoro shows good strength to get back and wrestle the midfielder away from the ball.
59'
Pepe with a little room inside the box but his chip over the head of Marquinhos has too much pace on it and it bounces into the arms of Alphonse Areola. Lille are starting to show signs of threatening the PSG defence.
58'
Nothing much going for either side at the moment. All the play is in the middle of the pitch and the game has become a little scrappy.
55'
Nicolas Pepe finds space coming in from the right wing to try and curl the ball towards the top-left corner. He loses balance as he shoots though and it goes straight over the crossbar.
54'
That Lille corner was easily dealt with by the PSG defence. Lille are starting to see a little more of the ball now.
53'
Malcuit with a good run inside the PSG box but Yuri Berchiche slides in to put the ball out for a corner.
49'
J. Pastore has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by Á. Di María.
GOAL! They looked to be struggling to find space and a poor pass from a Lille defender and good interception from Verratti completely opens up the away defence. The ball falls to Cavani, with the Uruguayan teeing up Di Maria. He rolls the ball to Javier Pastore in space inside the right of the box, who rifles it into the back of the net. Surely that will be three points in the bag for PSG now.
Ángel Di María slots the ball into space for Javier Pastore to double PSG's lead.

Lille get us back underway!
42'

The only shot on target so far has been Di Maria's goal. PSG are showing some good build up play but the final pass is lacking.

A mistake by Lille and Mbappe is gifted a run towards the box. Adama Soumaoro covers the angel well and the Frenchman can only fire it wide.
31'
Mbappe with another brilliant flick, this time using his heel to play Dani Alves down the right wing and into acres of space. The Brazilian right-back just couldn't find a teammate in the box though.
28'
Á. Di María has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by K. Mbappé.
Kylian Mbappé has plenty of time to pick his cross, finding Di Maria on the edge of the six yard box to head home.
GOAL! Clinical attacking play by PSG and they score with their first opportunity of the game. Pastore played Mbappe down the right of the box. Who had plenty of time to pick his cross, finding Angel Di Maria on the edge of the six yard box, who powers his header into the back of the net. One chance. One goal for Unai Emery's side.
26'
It was an inviting cross by Di Maria but no one made the run to get on the end of it for PSG. They've been a little toothless in the final third the home side. In truth though, neither side have looked like scoring yet.
25'
Di Maria goes to ground on the left of the Lille box and the referee blows for a free-kick. A chance for PSG to threaten here.
23'
Great play from Lille as they work the ball around the centre circle, before Yassine Benzia slots a delightful through ball for the run of Ezequiel Ponce. He had the pace to get beyond the PSG defence but Alphonse Areola was quickly out of his box to clear the danger.
21'
Mbappe shows a neat flick over the head of a defender to work his way into space outside the centre of the box. He rolls the ball to the left wing for Di Maria but there's too much weight on the pass and it rolls out for a throw in.
18'
Lille get a chance to move the ball forward from a set-piece but Thiago Maia drifts offside. It's not been the most entertaining half of football so far.
15'
A half-chance for the home side as Adrian Rabiot tries his luck on the half-volley from outside the box, which flies high over the crossbar.
14'
Kylian Mbappe is back to full flow, showing it as he makes his way around two defenders inside the Lille box before going to ground. He wants a penalty but the referee waves away his appeals. PSG are starting to take a bit more control now.
13'
PSG are finding themselves very limited for space in the midfield. Marquinhos tries a lofted ball for the run of Edinson Cavani in the Lille box, but its straight into the hands of Mike Maignan.
11'
The French forward is back on his feet but he is moving a little gingerly at the moment. It looks like he should be ok though. Lille are giving a good account of themselves so far in these opening exchanges.
10'
Nothing much separating these two sides at the moment, as each others tactics seem to cancel their opponents out. A bit of concern for PSG now though as Kylian Mbappe stays down holding his ankle.
7'
The Lille players are moving the ball around swiftly in midfield on the few occassions they get hold of it. PSG are well organised though and have yet to be troubled.
2'
PSG will all the possession at the moment. A couple of chipped passes towards the wings have been snuffed out so far by the Lille defenders though.
1'
We're underway! PSG kick off, playing right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Ligue 1 game between Paris Saint-Germain and Lille at the Parc des Princes.
Despite suffering their first defeat in 26 games when they lost 2-1 to Strasbourg last weekend, Paris Saint-Germain still sit a comfortable nine points clear of second-placed Lyon, winning 13 of their 16 league games so far. A 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the final round of their Champions League group stage inflicted PSG’s first back-to-back defeats since December 2014, and Unai Emery will be keen to return his side to winning ways.
PSG will be missing world record signing Neymar for the visit of Lille as he serves a one-match domestic ban. The league leaders will also be without captain Thiago Silva, who picked up an injury during the midweek encounter with Bayern Munich. Veteran defender Thiago Motta remains out with the injury he sustained in October.
Lille have bounced back in recent weeks after suffering back to back 3-0 defeats at the hands of Amiens and Montpellier, with the latter being the first game under new manager quartet Joao Sacramento, Benoit Delaval, Franck Mantaux and Fernando Da Cruz. They have recorded back-to-back victories since then to steer themselves two points clear of the relegation zone in seventeenth place.
The away side will be well aware of the quality of opposition that awaits them at the Parc des Princes this afternoon and, like many other teams, will surely set up to contain PSG and keep themselves in the game for as long as possible. The absence of Neymar will be a bonus but they still face a very potent attacking force. Lille will be missing defenders Rominique Kouame and Fode Ballo Toure for today’s game.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Paris Saint-Germain XI (4-3-3): Areola; Alves, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Yuri; Verratti, Rabiot, Pastore; Di Maria, Cavani, Mbappe.
Paris Saint-Germain Substitutes: Trapp, Moura, Meunier, Lo Celso, Draxler, Nkunku, N’Soki.
Lille XI (5-4-1): Maignan; Malcuit, Edgar le, Amadou, Soumaoro, Alonso; Benzia, Maia, Mendes, Pepe; Ponce.
Lille Substitutes: El Ghazi, Araujo, Bissouma, Mendyl, Koffi, Soumare, Dabila.
There are four changes to the PSG that were beaten by Bayern Munich during the week, as Neymar and Thiago Silva miss out as expected, being replaced by Angel Di Maria and Presnel Kimpembe respectively. Yuri comes in at left-back to replace Layvin Kurzawa and Julian Draxler drops to the bench, as Javier Pastore takes his place in midfield.
For Lille, there is only one change from the side that beat Toulouse 1-0 last weekend.Fode Ballo Toure misses out through injury, with Kevin Malcuit replacing him.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 1-0 LILLE.
PSG in the lead at the break, courtesy of Angel Di Maria's header after Mbappe's cross. It turned out to be the only shot on target of the game and both sides have looked a little toothless in the final third for the most part. Lille have offered nothing going forward, despite the hard work of Ezequiel Ponce, and will need to offer much more if they are to rescue a point from this tie. PSG are comfortably control at the break.
The players are coming back out onto the pitch, ahead of the start of the second half.
FULL-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 3-1 LILLE.
It wasn't the most exciting game of football but Unai Emery will be happy. PSG return to winning ways with a comfortably 3-1 victory, following their back-to-back defeats against Strasbourg and Bayern Munich. It was a game of few chances and it was clinical finishing in the end from Angel Di Maria and Javier Pastore, scoring both of PSG's first two shots on target. Lille offered themselves a lifeline when El Ghazi slotted home to set up a tense finale, but Mbappe rolled the ball into an empty net to secure the three points after the Lille goalkeeper had come up for a corner. Comfortable in the end for the home side, and they go 12 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
