HUGE CHANCE! What a save by Romero to deny Fer a consolation with the final kick of the game. The Swans had a corner in the final minute and it fell perfectly to Fer at the far post who must've thought he had scored, only to be denied by an excellent Romero save.
90'
There will be a minimum of three minutes of added time played.
87'
L. Shaw enters the game and replaces A. Martial.
Final United substitution tonight as Anthony Martial makes his way off the pitch and he has been replaced by Luke Shaw.
84'
United seem to sense that they have the victory wrapped up now, the substitutions by United appear to have taken the sting out of game and Swansea are on top, but not carving out any chances.
82'
Chance United! Lingard fires a low shot at the Swansea goal from the edge of the penalty area, still looking for his hat-trick goal. However, his effort is straight at Nordfeldt who makes a good save. Lingard has never scored a hat-trick in a United shirt, he did manage to score four goals on his debut on loan at Birmingham City a few seasons ago.
79'
D. Blind gets yellow.
Blind picks up a silly yellow card, after he dives into the tackle on Routledge when there wasn't much need too. Giving away a free-kick in a good position in the process, however Swansea fail to capitalise.
78'
Swansea are certainly starting to show more fight and desire here as we approach the final period of the game. However, with a two-goal cushion already, United still look fairly comfortable.
76'
Tuanzebe is the first United player to be a shown a yellow card for his late challenge on Ayew. This gives Swansea a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area, with Ayew stepping up to take it. However, his effort lacks pace and is fired straight at Romero, who makes a comfortable save.
75'
A. Tuanzebe gets yellow.
CHANCE SWANSEA! Abraham shows his quality just minutes after coming onto the pitch, the striker was given too much time and space on the edge of the box and he fired a powerful shot at goal which looks to be heading into the net, but Romero was there to make a good diving save. The first time the United keeper has really been called into action tonight.
74'
United's travelling support have been superb here, they haven't stopped singing all game and have certainly seen a much improved performance from their side, compared to Huddersfield on Saturday.
Minute
Description

70'
Ki Sung-Yueng gets yellow.
Ki is shown the third yellow card of the evening.
69'
CHANCES UNITED! First McTominay goes close from a tight angle but his shot is blocked and goes out for a corner. Then set piece is then whipped into the box and Nordfeldt fails to deal with Smalling's header, it falls straight to the feet of Tuanzebe who fires his shot high over the crossbar from just a few yards out.
67'
L. Fer enters the game and replaces Roque Mesa.
R. Lukaku enters the game and replaces M. Rashford.
N. Matić enters the game and replaces Ander Herrera.
The first of a double United substitution, Marcus Rashford comes off and he is replaced by Romelu Lukaku, who hasn't scored in his last three United appearances so tonight may be the perfect opportuntity to end that run.
The second United change sees Ander Herrera head off the pitch and he has been replaced by Nemanja Matić.
Swansea respond by making a substitution of their own, with Roque Mesa the man coming off and he has been replaced by Leroy Fer.
64'
CHANCE! A hat-trick opportunity for Lingard from a tight angle. He's found by Blind's excellent through ball, but he fires it across the face of goal and it goes well wide in the end! Rashford was well placed in the six-yard box and he should've fed his teammate instead.
62'
United now looking for even more goals, with Jose Mourinho preparing a couple of substitutes, with Lukaku annd Matic getting ready. Just what Swansea won't want to see at the moment as they are camped inside their own half.
59'
J. Lingard has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by M. Darmian.
Tuanzebe dribbled the ball out of the defence and fed the ball to Darmian, who then looked up and placed a perfect cross into the penalty area, which was superbly finished by Lingard.
GOOOAAALLL! UNITED DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Another from Lingard and it is just as impressive as the first! A delightful cross into the box by Darmian, it was met perfectly by the onrushing Lingard who guided his header into the corner of the net with plenty of pace on it, giving Nordfeldt no chance.
58'
Still more than half an hour to play here at the Liberty Stadium. United look in complete control at the moment they are cruising and Swansea are struggling to get a touch of the ball.
56'
S. Clucas gets yellow.
Clucas is the second player tonight to be shown a yellow card, the midfielder clattered into the back of Rashford and was nowhere near the ball with his challenge.
55'
Both sides face a tough task on Saturday when they return to the Premier League. United face Tottenham at Old Trafford, whilst Swansea will travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
53'
STAT: Man United have lost five of their last six league cup away trips to top-flight opposition, although two of those were semi-final away legs in which they eventually progressed.
51'
Swansea with plenty of the ball in United's defensive third, and the visitors are currently struggling to come forward. However, it is a similar story to the first half, with the Swans struggling to create any chances despite having plenty of the ball. United may punish them later.
49'
Swansea corner early in the second half as Routledge finds his cross blocked by Tuanzebe. Clucas whips the ball into the box, but it is too close to Romero who punches the ball well clear. McTominay then looks to break on the counter but he is blocked off the ball by Routledge and Mesa in the centre circle.
47'
Martial is down receiving medical treatment at the moment after a coming together with Rangel, which ended with the United winger landing flat on his back and winding himself.
46'

45'

43'
Not too far away! Clucas tries to bend one into the bottom corner from the edge of the box, the midfielder was given plenty of time and space to pick his spot but he fired it just wide of the United goal.
42'
STAT: After three successive losses against Swansea between August 2014 and August 2015, Man Utd have won three of the last four (D1), including a 4-0 victory at the Liberty Stadium in the second Premier League game of the season.
39'
K. Naughton enters the game and replaces M. Olsson.
Kyle Naughton is the man to replace the injured Olsson, it will be a straight swap at left-back for the Swans.
38'
Àngel Rangel gets yellow.
Swans skipper Àngel Rangel, is the first player to be shown a yellow card here tonight, after a blatant shirt tug on Martial's shirt as the winger skipped past him.
37'
Looks like Martin Olsson's evening is going to end prematurely, the left-back has pulled up with a hamstring injury and he doesn't like able to recover from that. A quick substitution by the Swans before the break is likely.
35'
As we enter the final 10 minutes of the first half here at the Liberty Stadium, United hold a one-nil lead after Lingard's strike. However, the Swans have played well but need to improve going forward as they haven't carved out any real chances of their wn and they don't look like scoring an equalising at present.
32'
Penalty shout! Tuanzebe gets on the wrong side of Routledge and the winger goes down under the United youngster's challenge in the box, but only a corner is given! Big appeal by Swansea, Tuanzebe certainly put an arm on Routledge, albeit outside of the area and the winger went down in the box. Nothing given.
30'
Another Swansea chance! Very close for Swansea's Oliver McBurnie, but he knew absolutely nothing about it! Blind tried to head a cross clear, but he mistimes it and it hits the thigh of McBurnie and flies just inches wide of the United goal. Much to the relief of the United man.
28'
CHANCE SWANSEA! United almost gift Swansea an equaliser, they are furious with the linesman that he didn't raise his flag as Routledge ran through on goal. It looked a clear-cut decision, but instead of playing to the whistle the United defence stood still and almost allowed Routledge to have a free shot at goal. Luckily Lindelof reacted quickly enough to clear the danger.
26'
The Swans have struggled to hit the back of the net this season and going behind to an early United goal here, won't do their confidence much good. The visitors are well on top now and Swansea are struggling to string more than a couple of passes together.
24'
Swansea have lost each of their last two league cup ties against Premier League opposition - losing to Manchester City in the third round last season and losing against Liverpool at this exact stage in 2014-15.
21'
J. Lingard has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by M. Rashford.
Ander Herrera plays a fierce low ball into Rashford, whose lovely flick was perfect for Lingard. Great build-up play and quality on show for the opening goal of the game.
GOOOAAALLL! UNITED TAKE THE LEAD! An excellent flick by Rashford which totally fools the Swans defence and falls perfectly to Lingard who made the run between the lines. The winger than showed great composure to pick his spot and place the ball perfectly into the bottom right-hand corner.
20'
United with more of the possession so far tonight, but they haven't seen too much of the ball in the Swansea final third and the Swans boss, Paul Clement will be fairly happy at how his side have performed so far.
19'
STAT: This will be just the second meeting between these two teams outside of league competition, with Swansea winning 2-1 at Old Trafford in an FA Cup third round match in January 2014.
16'
Lindelof doesn't look too convincing, he misjudges the flight of the ball, similar to like he did on Saturday for Huddersfield's second goal. This allows Jordan Ayew to get a run on Smalling; he almost forces his way through deep in the penalty area, but Sergio Romero is quick off his line to gather the ball. Not the best starts to the game for the summer signing, who has yet to really impress and that has shown with his lack of United appearances so far this season.
14'
It looks like United are playing a back three here tonight, with Victor Lindelof, Smalling and Axel Tuanzebe making up the centre-backs, then Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind playing almost as wingers down the flanks. This is allowing Martial and Lingard more license to move forward and stretch the Swans defence, rather than having to track back on every occasion.
12'
United with plenty of the ball deep in the Swansea half in these early stages of the game, but they don't look like creating any goalscoring chances at the moment.
10'
The visitors have backed by a large number of travelling supporters here tonight, who are making plenty of noise as their team look to assert their dominance and grab an early goal tonight.
8'
First Swansea chance of the game! Ki Sung-yueng whipped a beautiful dipping ball into the box from the corner spot, it appears to be met by Alfie Mawson at the near post and fired wide of the United goal. However, on replay it looks to come off a United defender instead, but not too far wide.
6'
Decent long-range effort by Lingard from 25 yards out. United worked it well down the left with some patient passing, and Lingard's effort is tipped over by Kristoffer Nordfeldt. Although it looks like the keeper could've caught that and prevented a corner. However, the corner into the penalty area is poor and Swansea easily clear the danger.
4'
The hosts are stringing a few good passes together however it is all in the middle of the pitch and the United defence are more than comfortable with that. The Swans will need to be wary of a pacey counter-attack by the visitors tonight, with the likes if Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Rashford in attack.
2'
Good start by United here, Marcus Rashford did well to put Sam Clucas under pressure near the corner flag and the Swans midfielder could only clear for a United corner. Rashford whipped the ball into the box, which was well met by the head of tonight's skipper Chris Smalling, however his header went well wide of the goal.

HALF-TIME: SWANSEA 0-1 UNITED
Lingard has given Man United the lead at the Liberty Stadium after excellent build-up play by Rashford, it was an excellent finish. Swansea have played well and may count themselves unlucky to be down at the break, but they have lacked a clinical touch going forward.
Two superb goals from Jesse Lingard sealed a two-nil victory at the Liberty Stadium and sees United progress to the next round of the Carabao Cup. Swansea played well and enjoyed a lot of possession but they never really looked like scoring and lacked a goal threat all game. The visitors carved open far more chances and looked dangerous in attack, with Rashford and Lingard linking up very well throughout.
