56'
March chances his luck with a left footer along the ground from thirty yards out but he drags it wide. Poor effort there, but you can't blame him for trying - Watford looked leaky at the back.

14'
Albion - playing right to left in blue and white - come up with the ball in a rare spell, but a myriad of yellow shirts force them to play it wide. Gross does a lovely cutback on the left edge - but his pass goes nowhere and Watford come away.
11'
Gray should have scored there! A flat cross from Nordin drifts across his feet - but he miscues his strike and misses a sitter, with Ryan at the wrong side of the net too. Should have been 1-0 there.
9'
Free-kick now for Watford, to be taken by Cleverley, sharp on the right hand edge of the box. He whips it in and Nordin's header can't quite hit the mark. Brighton clear.
7'
The Hornets are just content to knock it around in their midfield again, and then shift it towards Doucoure who earns a corner on the left for Watford. Ryan is in fast to clean up though and the danger passes.
5'
Prodi and Britos play it across their back four and then shift it up the left side to Doucoure. Watford are playing with a spring in their step. Gray comes onto a flat ball in the box but skews it right and wide.
3'
Hemed and Gross combine to put the former down the right flank in a nice bit of interplay - but he just floats offside and is pulled back. Free-kick to Watford.
1'
Cleverley taps back on the whistle and we're underway at Vicarage Road. The last time these two met in the top flight of English football was in 1983 - a 1-1 draw. Will the spoils be shared again?
Good afternoon, and welcome to live text coverage of the third week of the Premier League as unbeaten Watford host winless Brighton and Hove Albion at Vicarage Road. The Hornets – who narrowly avoided relegation last season – played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool on the opening Saturday of the season, alongside a win against Bournemouth, whilst the Seagulls, returning to the top flight after thirty-four years, have lost to both Manchester City and Leicester so far. Can Albion kick-start their season with a journey up the M23? Kick-off is forty-five minutes away.
The home side suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday in a week marred by financial sanctions over two breaches of operational regulations stemming from 2014. The fines – a total of £4.3million – compound a tough few days that has also saw them knocked out of the EFL Cup second round by a spirited Bristol City, who scored an injury-time winner to prevail 3-2. They have however secured the services of Benfica winger Andre Carrillo on loan – the Peruvian international previously worked with Watford boss Marco Silva at Sporting Lisbon.
Brighton meanwhile finally got a win under their belt midweek, when they rode out 1-0 winners against Barnet in the EFL Cup, thanks to a maiden senior goal for substitute James Tilley. Albion will be hoping to avoid a straight drop back down to the Championship after last year’s promotion – and broke their transfer record last weekend to aid them in their attempt, with the arrival of Colombian winger Jose Izquierdo from Club Brugge for a reported £13.5million. Their pursuit of Raphael Dwamena from FC Zurich has broken down however; the striker had agreed personal terms with the club but subsequently failed a medical.
Watford have had the better of their opposition in the league over the past few years, meeting on eight occasions in the Championship in the last decade. The Hornets have won four and are unbeaten in the last five – Brighton’s only win was a 1-0 victory at Vicarage Road in September 2012, thanks to a Craig Mackail-Smith penalty in the second half. One player remains across both teams from that match – Albion captain Bruno, who at the time, was only just starting his career on the South Coast.
So just the one change for Watford in their starting line-up - Kabasele comes in for the suspended Holebas. Brighton meanwhile have their star signing on the bench - but it would be surprising if he didn't show at all. Just over five minutes away.
Teams are out - will it be the Hornets or the Seagulls? Here we go!
There may be no goals to seperate the two after forty-five minutes, but it's been an eventful period at Vicarage Road. The main talking point is the straight red of course for Miguel Britos after a nasty challenge on Anthony Knockaert - but Albion have been unable to prise open a ten-men Hornets side. Half-time, it's Watford 0-0 Brighton.
Players heading back out now, as Rosenior comes on for Bruno at half-time, with the booked captain taken off at the break.
They may be off the mark with their first point of the season but Brighton are still looking for their first Premier League goal. Credit is due to Watford - the biggest incident of note was the sending-off of Miguel Britos around the twenty-minute mark which reduced them to ten men, yet they have held firm against a spirited Albion side. Full time at Vicarage Road, itt's Watford 0-0 Brighton.
With that result, Brighton are no longer joint bottom of the table, moving out of the relegation places for now, whilst Watford remain in fifth. There's still more Premier League to come though today and of course tomorrow over the Bank Holiday weekend - but for now, thank you for joining us and have a good evening!
