CLOSE!! Davies makes a surging run towards the Gent penalty area and lays the ball into the path of Alli before continuing his run into the box. Alli looks to play a return pass to the Welshman but instead picks out Son in a good position, but Dejaegere does exceptionally well to stick out a toe and knock the ball away from the forward as he looks to shoot on goal.

Spurs are making their first change of the game now as Dembele’s replaced by Heung-Min Son.

Lovely build up play from Simon in midfield as he spreads the ball wide to Saief who swings in a wonderful cross towards the back post, but Davies just gets his head to the ball to deflect it out for a throw-in. That goal does appear to have given Gent renewed confidence though.

Dier does go for goal and tries to catch Kalinic out by going for the goalkeeper’s side of the goal, but he doesn’t hit the effort too well and Kalinic can easily watch it drift harmlessly wide of the post.
63'
Kane wins Spurs a free-kick in a really dangerous area 25 yards out from goal in the middle of the pitch, it looks as though Dier is lining it up.
61'
Having seen his side start the second half so well, Pochettino will be pretty frustrated with the ease with which that goal was scored.
59'
J. Perbet has scored a goal for Gent!
GOOOAALLLLLLLL!!!! Perbet gives Gent the lead!! Milicevic gets in behind the Spurs defence down the left-hand edge of the penalty box before pulling the ball back towards Perbet, and while his initial effort was smothered by the sliding Davies, the striker kept his cool to slot home at the second time of asking from six yards out.
57'
Alli looks to pressurise Gigot inside the Gent penalty area but puts too much pressure on the right-back conceding the foul. Spurs have looked a different side since switching formations at half-time though.
54'
K. Walker gets yellow.
Walker becomes the first player to be shown a yellow card for a nasty looking scissor tackle on Saief.
53'
Spurs have made a really bright start to the second half here, this time Sissoko gets into space on the left and swings in a dangerous looking cross, but Kalinic claims it well above his head.

Another chance for Kane as Foket knocks the ball straight into the England striker just five yards out from goal, but with his back to goal Kane tries to lay the ball off to Dembele running onto it but doesn’t quite get it right and Gent are able to clear.
49'
OFF THE POST!! Alli breaks into the Gent area after good work from Walker and Winks down the right, and although the midfielder appears to be tripped, the ball breaks to Kane to shoots on the turn from six yards out but can only turn his effort onto the outside of the post! That’s the closest we’ve had to a goal so far.
47'
It appears Spurs have switched to a back three at the start of the second half here, with Ben Davies dropping in alongside Dier and Alderweireld at centre-back.
46'
Kick-off! Gent get the second half underway.

Thomas Foket and Dejaegere exchange a nice one-two down the right-hand touchline before the former looks to pick out Saief in the middle, but the cross is too close to Lloris who easily catches it high above his head.
37'
Lovely play from Dembele as he flicks the ball between his legs before spreading a crisp ball out wide to Ben Davies on the left, but the full-back’s cross is blocked well preventing it from reaching Kane in the middle of the penalty area.
35'
Spurs are starting to stamp their authority on this game now with Dembele getting on the ball in dangerous areas which will certainly please Mauricio Pochettino.

A half-chance for Spurs now as Dembele skips away from Esiti with ease before driving towards the by-line and picking out Alli with a low pulled-back cross, but the midfielder’s shot from six yards out is well blocked by Gigot.

15'
It’s been a somewhat cagey start to the game from both sides here, with neither willing to throw too many bodies forward at this early stage.
13'
Kane this time goes for goal from long range after patient build up play from the Tottenham striker. He catches the effort sweetly but it’s too close to Kalanic who catches it with relative ease above his head.

Anderson Esiti just catches Sissoko late and Spurs win the free-kick inside the Gent half. The referee opts against showing the midfielder a yellow card though and nothing comes of the free-kick for Spurs.
3'
Moussa Sissoko and Kyle Walker link up well down the right but the latter’s ball is a fraction too heavy for Sissoko as he looks to get in behind the Gent defence. A bright start from both sides though.
1'
Kick-off! Spurs get the game underway.
Superb start from Gent as Danijel Milicevic charges on to a low cross from the right-hand side, but completely misses the ball as he looks to shoot from 12 yards out.
Tottenham go into the game on the back of a 2-0 Premier League loss away to Liverpool, which struck a blow to their hopes of catching runaway leaders Chelsea
Gent were also beaten last time out, going down 1-0 at home to AS Eupen in the Belgian First Division A, leaving them a distant eighth in the table.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Gent versus Tottenham in the Europa League's round of 32.
Subs: Nkoudou, Onomah, Vorm, Trippier, Eriksen, Son, Wimmer.
Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen drop out of the XI that started at Anfield last weekend, Moussa Sissoko and young Harry Winks, who signed a new contract this week, taking their place.
Those two changes aside, it's a strong starting line-up from Spurs, as manager Mauricio Pochettino seeks to make up for the disappointment of Tottenham's group-stage exit from the Champions League.
We'll bring you the line-ups very shortly as we count down to kick-off at GHELAMCO-arena.
Both sets of players have finished their warm-ups and are heading back down the tunnel to the dressing rooms, where they will receive final instructions from the two managers. Just under 15 minutes to go now until kick-off.
The strong team picked by Pochettino here may be an indication that a second-string XI will be sent out to tackle Fulham in the fifth-round of the FA Cup at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
That game will be followed by the second leg of this Europa League tie at White Hart Lane next Thursday, before Tottenham resume their Premier League campaign at home to Stoke on February 26.
Spurs are third in the Premier League, 10 points behind Chelsea and two back from second-placed Manchester City, with Pochettino and his players surely targeting automatic Champions League qualification as the minimum expectation during the final months of the season.
They'll be determined to get back into UEFA's elite club competition to earn an opportunity to improve on this season's hugely underwhelming showing, Tottenham finishing third in Group E behind Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen.
Spurs did not appear comfortable playing their home Champions League games at Wembley Stadium, but that's something they will have to get used to in 2017-18, when the redevelopment of White Hart Lane will prompt them to play all of their home league, cup and European matches at the venue.
The players are out on the pitch, kick-off is not far away now.
Half-time: Gent 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur
It’s a pretty cagey affair here in Belgium with neither side having offered too much threat going forward. Gent have looked the more threatening of the two sides but Lloris hasn’t had too many saves to make, while Spurs have been confined to a few long-range efforts.
The home crowd appeared to be pretty pleased with their side’s display though as the players made their way into the tunnel, and Hein Vanhaezebrouck will certainly be asking for more of the same from his side from a defensive point of view in the second period.
It’s all over here in Belgium and Jeremy Perbet’s second half goal ensures Gent will take a slender 1-0 advantage into the second leg at Wembley.
Full-time: Gent 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur
That's all from us for now, thanks for joining us and we hope you'll be able to join us again soon.
