Steaua Bucharest player Andrés Mendoza has accused the Peruvian football association of racism, and claims that that is the reason why his punishment was not reduced, as opposed to those of other players.

I do not like this, but maybe Mendoza has a point. The eighteen-month suspension appeares to be too harsh. The punishment does not seem to fit the crime especially considering that the other 3 players had their suspension reduced. What do you think guys?

I would really like to know what the full story is, before passing comment.
These days there are too many issues that are, supposedly, caused by racism.
