Umea IK after easy win in Swedish Cupfinal

UMEA, Oct 3 (SW) – Umea IK have reached the Swedish Cup Final after an easy 5-1 win against KIF Orebro. An early goal of Brazilian star Marta, two Hanna Ljungberg goals and a goal of Malin Mostrom brought the team 4-0 in front within 30 minutes.
A low crowd of lees then 300 people went to Gammliavallen for tonight’s semi final of the Swedish Cup. Crowds in Swedish cup games are traditionally low, but this time the very bad weather made it even worse. The spectators saw a game in which Umea IK decided the game early. After three minutes it was Marta who scored from close range after a corner kick from Anne Makinen. Umea IK played the first half really well, with a lot of speed and with much chances, especially for Marta. It was Marta that took the corner kick that ended in the second goal after twelve minutes, Hanna Ljungberg scored. After a pressure around the penalty area it was Malin Mostrom that scored the 3-0 seven minutes later. On the half hour mark it was Hanna Ljungberg who beautifully lobbed the ball over KIF Orebro goalkeeper Kristin Hammarstrom after an Anna Paulson deep ball. Just before half time Emelia Erixon scored one back for KIF Orebro but the game was already played. The second half Umea IK consolidated the match and played a lower tempo, Lisa Dahlqvist scored the last goal making the end result 5-1. Umea IK – KIF Orebro 5-1 (4-1) Attendance: 288 Goals: 3.
