Wiik regained the ball in the penalty area after a rebound and finished in the far corner to take Asker into extra time.

In the second half of extra time it was Leni Kaurin who hit the post. Nothing more happened in extra time so penalties had to decide this cup game. The penalty serie ended 2-4 for the guests. In the end it was Melissa Wiik that scored the last penalty for Asker bringing the women from Oslo the surprise win.

Asker player Ragnhild Gulbrandsen talked to Women Soccerway and stated that Asker definitely conrolled the game in the second half and should have decided the game in normal time. “Winning the Norwegian Cup is our main goal this season. After this match we are gonna win the cup”.
