KAISERSLAUTERN, May 6 (SW) - Bayern Munich were held to a draw at Kaiserslautern but this was enough for the Bavarians to secure their 20th Bundesliga title.

Kaiserslautern - Bayern Munich 1-1

For a long time, Bayern fans had no reason to celebrate as Halil Altintop surprisingly put Kaiserslautern in the lead after 26 minutes.

But the equalizer came from Andreas Ottl in the 68th minute, and the result of the match between Hertha and Hamburg allowed Bayern to begin their celebrations.

The title defenders have a six-points advantage over second-placed Hamburg, with only one match left to play.

The championship is Bayern's 20th. The first trophy was won in 1932, and the 19th came in the 2004-05 season.

Hertha BSC - Hamburger SV 4-2

Hamburg were Bayern's only remaining threat, and the north-Germans took the lead through Piotr Trochowski in the tenth minute.

Andreas Neuendorf equalized in the 13th, but Benjamin Lauth restored the lead six minutes later.

In the second half however, Hertha scored through Alexander Madlung in the 55th minute, Niko Kovac in the 69th and Marko Pantelic in the 72nd.

Goalscorer Neuendorf was sent off for Hertha in the 59th minute but the hosts managed to hold on to their lead.

Werder Bremen - Cologne 6-0

Werder had a comfortable 6-0 win over Cologne, with Tim Borowski, Miroslav Klose and Ivan Klasnic all scoring two goals each.

Bayer Leverkusen - Nurnberg 2-2

Jahwar Mnari put Nurnberg in the lead after 36 minutes, but things were turned around by Dimitar Berbatov in the 49th and 90th minutes. However, Berbatov's second goal was not enough for the victory ad Stefan Kiessling levelled two minutes into added time.

Borussia Dortmund - Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1

Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt held each other to a 1-1 draw, with Du-Ri Cha opening the score for Eintracht in the 54th minute and Borussia's Salvatore Gambino equalizing in the 87th.

Vfb Stuttgart - VfL Wolfsburg 2-1

Wolfsburg needed only five minutes to take the lead with a goal from Juan Carlos Menseguez, but Danijel Ljuboja equalized in the 17th minute. The winning goal came from Christian Gentner in the 70th minute.

Borussia M'gladbach - Hannover 96 2-2

Per Mertesacker put Hannover ahead in the 13th minute, but Marcell Jansen levelled in the 77th. Wesley Sonck then got Mönchengladbach's second in the 83rd, but Vinicius eventually set the score to 2-2 in the 89th minute.

Mainz - Schalke 04 1-0

Schalke 04 crashed to a 1-0 defeat by Mainz. The only goal of the match was scored by Benjamin Auer in the 15th minute.

Arminia Bielefeld - Duisburg 0-2

Last-placed Duisburg achieved a surprising victory at Arminia Bielefeld. Jung-Hwan Ahn broke the deadlock on the hour mark, and Marco Caligiuri added a security goal with eight minutes left to go.
