ZURICH, Jun 3 (SW) - Switzerland easily defeated China 4-1 in an international warm-up friendly, ahead of the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Alexander Frei opened the score for the Swiss in the 40th minute, and Marco Streller added another in the second minute after the break.

Another two minutes later, Frei netted the third from the penalty spot and Streller would also score a second goal, in the 73rd minute.

In stoppage time, China got a consolation goal through Fangzhuo Dong.

Switzerland face France in their first World Cup match on June 13th, followed by meetings with Togo and South Korea.
