UMEA, Feb 22 (SW) - Umeå IK has signed a cooperation agreement with the local 1st division side Umeå Södra. The agreement covers player development and organisational and financial questions.

It also makes it possible for Umeå Ik to loan younger players to Umeå Södra outside of the transfer periods, which will give 1st team experience to some of Umeå's usually rather underused benchsitters.
