ROTTERDAM, 21 Nov (SW) – Brauweiler Puhlheim and FSV Frankfurt have both drawn in the 9th round of the German Bundesliga. For relegation candidate number one FSV Frankfurt the draw was surprising. It’s the first point in eight games for the ‘other’ team from Frankfurt.

Brauweiler Puhlheim profited from some injuries at SC 07 Bad Neuenahr. International players Sandra Minnert and Celia Okovino da Mbabi were out, the first with flatulence problems the second by the injury that was caused in the international game of Germany against Scotland. Also goalkeeper Kerstin Wasems was out because of flu, Jasmin Paganetti was her replacement.

In the first half Nicole Bender first hit the post for Bad Neuenahr, but it was Lydia Neumann who deservedly scored just before the break, 1-0. In the second half Puhlheim came back in the game after a free header of Leah Sims. They even came in front by a free kick of Denise Gorges in the 79th minute. Three minutes later the final 2-2 was on the scoreboard. Isabell Bachor lifted the ball over goalkeeper Barbara Legrand, the ball went in to the goal after touching the crossbar.

Sami Nyembo (FSV Frankfurt) hit the post in the first half of the relegation clash between Vfl Sindelfingen and FSV. But it was VfL Sindelfingen that came in front; late in the second half Sandra Ruf scored. Just eight minutes later Nyembo scored the equalizer and took the surprise point for FSV Frankfurt.
