LIÈGE, 11 Dec (SW) - Standard Liège have won their match against Tienen by a narrow 3-2. Standard had to fight until the end to take the game against their table rivals.

Standard, leading twice by two goals had to slog their way to the final whistle even though they dominated most of the match. Standard had many occasions to open the game but had to wait a half hour to see the first goal by Isabelle Ebhodaghe. Eight minutes later, it was Cécile Carnol who found the net and doubled the score.

In the second half KVK Tienens Elke Meers reduced the gap for Tienen after five minutes. In the action of the goal Standard Fémina goalkeeper Marjory Guiset got injured and was replaced by Sofie Van Houtven. In the 57th minute Kelly Theunissen scored the third goal for Standard Fémina. Brenda Das scored a second Tienen-goal fifteen minutes from time. The players of KVK Tienen tried to put pressure and in the dying minutes but Standard resisted until the end. Because of the win, Standard Fémina put Tienen at a four points distance.
