Everton and Tottenham will be hoping to get back to winning ways here today at Goodison Park, after failing to pick up three points before the international break. Tottenham go into the game in ninth position, with Everton three places behind them in 12th.
The Toffees suffered a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea before the international break and drew 1-1 with Manchester City before that. Gylfi Sigurdsson could face his former club today, Everton's club-record signing is in line to start against Spurs after two goals for Iceland in their win over Ukraine on Tuesday. Everton manager Ronald Koeman also confirmed Wayne Rooney is set to feature after a turbulent week in which he was charged with drink-driving.
Tottenham will also be hoping to get back to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley last time out. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is unlikely to call on new signing Serge Aurier, one of five summer arrivals as Kieran Tripper has recovered from an ankle problem.

Tottenham could and should have scored more goals but they had already wrapped up all the points.
