84'
CHANCE! A long ball is played up by Hull, it is headed down by Henriksen into the path of Niasse, who takes a touch and then fires a shot at goal. However his effort is poor and goes well over the bar. Best chance of the second period for the Tigers.
83'

Another substitution here for the Tigers, as Kamil Grosicki comes off and he is replaced by Tom Huddlestone.
81'
GREAT SAVE! Jakupovic produces a poor punch from a cross and it falls straight into the path of Tadic, who then fires a powerful shot at goal which forces the Tigers keeper in a superb save. Better from Saints, the first good save that Jakupovic has been forced to make in this game.

Description
80'
Crucial challenge! Maguire pulls off a great tackle to deny Tadic a tap-in at the near post! Southampton had the overload down the right wing and the pull back from Redmond was very inviting for Tadic to slot home. However Maguire did brilliantly to deny him.
78'
This game is there for the taking for either side. There hasn't been many chances and it looks like one goal would be enough to clinch victory. As we approach the final 10 minutes of the game, it really could go either way.
76'
Another corner to the Tigers right in front of the away supporters. This time the ball is much better and is met by Maguire but his header goes well wide, the ball us then picked up by N'Diaye who runs out of pitch and Saints have a goal-kick.
75'
Grosicki does well once again, he turns in the middle of the pitch and runs at the Saints defence before laying the ball off to Henriksen who fires a low shot at goal which is blocked and goes out for a corner. The resulting set piece falls to beat the first defender.
73'
Grosicki does well to win a throw-in deep in the Saints half, a good opportunity for Hull to get players forward. However it comes to nothing. Not long to go now here at St Marys.
72'
M. Henriksen enters the game and replaces Evandro.
Here comes the first Tigers substitution of the game, with Evandro the player coming off and he is replaced by Markus Henriksen.
70'

69'
It looks like Hull might be about to make their first substitution of the game now, as they look to introduce fresh legs and push for the winning goal that would be so vital for the Tigers.
67'
Tadic tries his luck from long-range... It goes well wide of Jakupovic's goal. Better from Southampton going forward but they still lack urgency and neither goalkeeper has had a notable save to make here today.
64'
Hull win a free-kick in the middle of the pitch, which Clucas lofts into the box and is met by Maguire, who heads the ball across goal. Saints fail to defend the danger well and it bounces around the penalty area but Redmond finally breaks free with the ball and draws a free-kick, to ease the danger.
63'
Southampton have improved slightly since making their substitutions, however they are still lacking any desire or impetus going forward. The Tigers look dangerous on the counter-attack, with Robertson and Elmohamady using their pace down the wings to cause the Saints problems.
60'
The ball fell into the path of Davis, on the edge of the area. However the Saints skipper fires his effort high and wide over the crossbar, not coming close to troubling Jakupovic in the Hull goal.
59'
S. Long enters the game and replaces M. Gabbiadini.
The Saints supporters don't seem too happy to see Manolo Gabbiadini substituted, as he is replaced by the former Tigers player, Shane Long.
58'
J. Sims enters the game and replaces S. Boufal.
The first of a double substitution for Saints here, as Sofiane Boufal comes off and he is replaced by Joshua Sims.
57'
Good interplay between Niasse and Grosicki, with the latter drifting into the box unmarked after receiving a lofted ball from Niasse. The winger can't get the ball out of his feet fast enough though and Forster gathers the ball. However, the linesman has his flag up for offside.
56'
There has been a lack of quality so far here for the Saints. They have struggled to get going here and are misplacing too many simple passes in the middle of the pitch. Can either team show a moment of quality to break the deadlock here at St Marys?
54'
CLOSE! Niasse does very well to get a cross into the box from the corner flag, he was under a lot of pressure from Ryan Bertrand but still managed to turn a low ball into the box which Grosicki tried to get on the end of. However Forster is off his line quickly to gather the ball just in front of the incoming Polish international.
52'
Davis plays a good ball into the path of Tadic who lines up a shot, but Robertson does brilliantly to block his effort. The resulting corner is well cleared by Hull and they can now try and break up the pitch themselves. The likes of Markovic and Grosicki who have plenty of skill and pace can cause teams a lot of problems on the counter-attack.
51'
Markovic does well to dribble the ball to the Saints byline, however excellent defending from Stephens sees the danger cleared and they win a goal-kick.
49'
GREAT TACKLE! Maguire pulls off a superb tackle to deny Sofiane Boufal a chance to take a shot at goal. The Saints playmaker went by N'Diaye with ease, before Maguire stepped in to make the tackle and clear the danger. The defender had to get that challenge right, or he may have given away a penalty.
48'
Marco Silva will have been the happier of the two managers at the break, as the Tigers dominated much of the first-half but failed to show the same dominance and resolve in the final third.
46'
The second half is underway!
45' +2
That's the half-time whistle!
45' +1
Corner to the Tigers right at the end of the first half. A great opportunity for the visitors to take the lead just before the break!
The corner comes into the box, and falls to the feet of Elmohamady who has hit shot blocked, the ball then bounces around the Saints penalty area before Forster can finally gather the ball and ease the Saints concerns.
45'
There will be a minimum of one minute added time played here.
42'
Sam Clucas takes the corner, he plays it short to Evandro who then tries to get a bal into the box. However their play fizzles out and eventually goes out for a goal-kick. Another good opportunity for Hull that has come to nothing.
41'
Free-kick to Hull in a good position, down the right flank. Grosicki and Robertson stand over the set piece... The ball is played short and then whipped into the box looking for Maguire who sees his header blocked and it goes out for a corner.
39'
Three points here for the Tigers would put huge pressure on Swansea who face Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow. Next up for Hull is a home game against Sunderland who could already by relegated by the time that games gets underway. Sunderland will be relegated today if they fail to match the Tigers result here.
37'
STAT: Saints have scored just 17 goals at home this season - only Sunderland (16) and Middlesbrough (13) have scored fewer. They have struggled to get their forwards players on the ball here so far, with Saints fans voicing their displeasure at not getting the ball into the box.
34'
Still no goalscoring chances by either team here at St Marys, however it is the visitors who are on top but failing to create any chances. The away supporters seem pretty happy with their sides performance here. A point away from home would be a rarity for the Tigers and perhaps a vital point in their battle to remain in the Premier League.
32'
Eldin Jakupovic shows great skill and composure to remain calm under a lot of pressure from Gabbiadini. The Tigers keeper received a short ball from Maguire and it looked like the Saints striker may be about to nick the ball off the Hull keeper.
30'
Good period of sustained pressure by the visitors. Markovic, Grosicki and Ahmed Elmohamdy linking up well, however once again the Tigers just can't find the final ball and chance to test Forster. However the are forcing Saints deeper and deeper which will start to frustrate this St Marys crowd.
28'
Maguire runs the ball out of defence and into midfield, stretching the Saints midfield. The Tigers then look to attack but their final ball is a poor one and the chance goes away.
26'
Good ball into the box by Alfred N'Diaye, it was curling away from goal and was very inviting for Niasse who tried to get on the end of it. However the striker didn't make his run early enough and the ball goes out for a goal-kick.
24'
Excellent play by Steven Davis, he beat several Hull players to make his way into the visitors penalty area, he then pulled the ball back across goal for a teammate. However Gabbiadini went to the near post and Davis' pull back misses all the Saints players. Hull can breathe a sigh of relief as they manage clear the danger.
23'
CHANCE SAINTS! Gabbiadini goes close, after a good ball through the Hull defence allowed the Italian striker to latch onto it and he fired his low shot wide of the goal. However, the linesman has his flag up for offside and even if it had gone in the back of the net, it would not have counted.
22'
Hull are dominating possession in the middle of the pitch at the moment, however they are struggling to break into the Saints final third.
19'
Wasted opportunity for the Tigers. The visitors had a free-kick on the left wing, a good opportunity to get the ball into the box and cause the Saints defence problems. However Andy Robertson's set piece is poor and it fails to beat the first defender! Easy for Southampton to clear.
18'
The Tigers still look more comfortable here, neither team are threatening to score at the moment but it is the visitors who look more confident and assured with their football. The Saints have yet to really get into their style of play here at St Marys.
16'
STAT: The Tigers have conceded a league-high 41 away goals this season, while their 14 defeats on the road is more than any other Premier League team.
14'
Better from Southampton. Nathan Redmond and Dusan Tadic link up well down the right-hand side, with Redmond playing a perfectly weighted ball into his teammate. However Harry Maguire is quick to read the danger and puts the ball out for a corner. The resulting set piece is poor by the Hull can clear.
11'
CHANCE! Niasse chases a long ball over the top and looks to fire a shot at goal, but Jack Stephens tracks back well and makes a vital block. The resulting corner is played short by Hull and Saints do well do much up the pitch and eventually clear the danger.
10'
It is a perfect day for football here on the South Coast. Both sides will be hoping to pick up three points, the saints in order to boost the European hopes and Hull in order to put some space between themselves and Swansea in the relegation battle.
8'
Good start to the game by the visitors. They have come the closest to opening the scoring through Grosicki and look positive going forward. However the Saints have plenty of top quality players that can step up a gear and play good football.
6'
OFF THE POST! Grosicki fired a free-kick from 30 yards out, it had Fraser Forster beaten but it hit the outside of the post and out of play. Lazar Markovic was brought down around 30 yards from goal and Grosicki went desperately close.
4'
CHANCE! Kamil Grosicki has the firsts shot on goal by either side. The Polish international worked some space on the edge of the box and fired a low shot at goal which went wide at the near post.
3'

We're underway!
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Premier League clash between Southampton and Hull City.
Hull travel to Southampton in search of their first away victory since August, to boost their survival hopes. The Tigers have won four of their last seven games, all at home, to move two points clear of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Southampton were beaten 4-2 at Chelsea in midweek but can still finish in the top eight, as they trail seventh-placed West Brom by four points with a game in hand.
Head-to-head: Southampton's defeat by Hull in November ended a run of six successive wins against the Tigers. However, the Tigers haven't won at Southampton for 66 years - their last victory was in the old Division Two in February 1951.
Hull will have striker Oumar Niasse available as they look for a long-awaited away win against Southampton on Saturday. Niasse was shown a straight red card in last weekend's win over Watford, but it was subsequently overturned following an appeal.
Sam McQueen is back in the Southampton squad after he returned to training on Thursday. Striker Charlie Austin and defender Matt Targett were also involved, but neither will be available to face the Tigers today.
TEAM NEWS: Just the one change for Saints, with Nathan Redmond coming in, replacing James Ward-Prowse, who drops to the bench. Meanwhile, Hull are unchanged from the win over Watford last week.
The teams are out here at St Marys and kick-off is almost upon us. Stay tuned for all of the match action!
HALF-TIME: SAINTS 0-0 HULL
Other than a superb Grosicki free-kick which clipped the post early on, there has been very little action here on the south coast. Neither side has had a shot on target. Southampton have been very lacklustre, and Hull have been on top, but they need to find that extra bit of quality in the final third.
FULL-TIME: SOUTHAMPTON 0-0 HULL
That's all from us here today folks. Enjoy the rest of your evening!
The Tigers result here has confirmed Sunderland's relegation and boosted their own survival hopes. Marco Silva has Jakupovic to thank for preserving that late point, as his superb penalty save denied Tadic is stoppage time. Southampton failed to really get going here and their supporters voiced their disappointment at the final whistle.
